"We are monitoring the situation"- ENA speaks out on Culinary Class Wars' Chef Triple Star appearance on Les Misérables amidst his dating controversy

On Tuesday, November 12, ENA, the network company of the upcoming show Baek Jong-won's Chef Paik & Les Misérables, spoke about Chef Triple Star's appearance on the same. The renowned chef, who previously appeared and participated in the Netflix cooking show Culinary Class Wars, also filmed a guest appearance in ENA's Chef Paik & Les Misérables.

However, the network company is debating his presence in the show's final edit due to the chef's recent dating controversy. Here's what ENA stated to the Korean media outlet, SPOTV News:

"We are monitoring the situation."

Last month Dispatch revealed that the chef, also known as Kang Seung-won, allegedly cheated on his ex-girlfriend and ex-wife. The ex-wife reportedly confessed to Dispatch that the chef admitted to being disloyal to his partner. He also wrote a letter to her explaining the reasonings behind his disloyalty and infidelity.

Here's what the alleged letter read:

"A female customer wearing revealing clothing was sitting at a table alone, so I secretly looked at her through the CCTV from a dark closet. I am trash. I like women, but I am dirty and full of greed. I have done what I should not have done to a person who has shown me so much love."

Additionally, Dispatch also revealed one other message that Chef Triple Star sent to his ex-wife. He had allegedly asked her to sleep with another in order to satisfy his desires through the letter he wrote to her.

"Asking you to sleep with another man due to my own greed."

On the other hand, the ex-wife also stated that she helped Chef Triple Star kickstart his cooking career by lobbying people for a job at a Michelin Star restaurant. The two reportedly dated between 2014 and 2022, and eventually got married in 2022. However, within three months they got a divorce.

Triple Star Chef or Kang Seung-won is a 33-year-old South Korean chef. He made his first public appearance in Netflix's South Korean reality culinary show, Culinary Class Wars. He passed through most of the shoe's rounds successfull, and was also placed 3rd at the semi-finals' first mission. However, he was elimianted at the second mission of the show's semi-finals, during episode 11 and 12.

During his participation in the show, several controversies related to the chef landed on the internet. In addition to his alleged cheating scandal, his ex-wife also acussed him of embezzling his restaurant's publi funds for personal used. She also expressed that this is what to led to their divorce.

The following statement was released by an anonymous netizen through their social media account, according to the Korean news outlet, Sports Chosun.

"Chef Kang Seung-won's ex-wife recently revealed that he embezzled the restaurant's public funds for personal use, which led to their divorce. I have requested an investigation into this under Article 356 of the Criminal Act for embezzlement through the People's Petition to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul"

While Netiflix released a statement expressing that they aren't aware of the personal life matters of their cast and contestsants, Chef Triple Star is yet to make any comments regarding the controversy. He has also disabled the comments section under all his Instagram posts.
