“We’re almost there”- Fans delighted as BTS members RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook complete 60% of their military service

On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Korean military app Goondori revealed updates on BTS members' military training, showcasing that the halfway point of V, RM, Jungkook, and Jimin's training had already passed. As reflected on the app, the 4 members have completed 60 percent of their military training. Therefore, these four members are expected to be discharged sometime in June 2025.

This recent news on their military service underlined the members' anticipated return to music operations, igniting enthusiasm among ARMYs throughout the world. As a result, BTS’ fans swamped the internet with their excitement for the members’ soon-approaching military discharge. Expressing this sentiment, one user on X stated:

“We are almost there guys”

Many other reactions from BTS’ fans were seen on the internet. One of them said that the BTS members should be released soon as they have served enough.

“finallyyy my reasons to live are coming back soon” a fan wrote.

“40% FINISH FAST. Yoongi must have 50% to go still” commented another fan.

“60% sounds better than more than 200 days left,” another user on X said.

“Let them out! They have served enough,” commented another fan.

Some admirers couldn't believe half of the time had passed, while another likened it to a dream.

“I was looking at this picture and I was like there is one more, there one more member, then I started counting ok Jhope and Jin is out but there is one more, then I was yess my baby sugaaa my bad. You when you are used to seeing seven members and you keep counting saying there are seven members, and your brain is like there is one more where is he.. I do that every time I see an incomplete picture of them or if I see a group picture of them then I start counting yess my seven babies period!!!” stated another fan.

BTS’ Jin and j-hope are two members who have completed their military terms so far

On June 12, 2024, Kim Seokjin was discharged from the military following the completion of his mandatory service. Jin was enlisted in December 2022 for his 18-month service. On the day of his discharge, Jin was warmly received by his bandmates. He was released a day before the 11th anniversary of BTS' debut.

Jin received a warm reception from his teammates Namjoon, SUGA, Jimin, j-hope, Taehyung, and Jungkook, who were able to gather together due to their respective days off.

Following this, on October 17, 2024, j-hope, aka Hobi, finished his military training. His term started in April 2023. Unlike Jin’s reception, j-hope was received by the Epiphany singer, as the enlisted members were busy with their respective schedules.

SUGA, aka Min Yoongi, kicked off his military service in September 2023. He is reported to be discharged in June 2025 as well, since the social service term is for 21 months instead of the typical 18 months.

In December 2023, Jungkook and Jimin joined the military together through a program for companion soldiers, which has made fans expectant for their joint return. Taehyung and RM also enlisted in December last year. Consequently, the four members are likely to be discharged around the same time in June 2025.
