On December 9, JYP USA responded to KG's statement regarding her lawsuit against them and her withdrawal from the girl group VCHA. On December 8, KG released a statement on Instagram informing her fans about her decision to terminate her contract with JYP USA resorting to legal actions.
She cited poor working and living conditions, and abuse which allegedly led a group member to attempt to self-harm. The next day, the agency issued an official statement in response on the FANS app. JYP USA's statement informed fans that KG left the group residence in May 2024, and started communicating with the agency through her lawyers.
They further added,
“We temporarily suspended VCHA’s planned activities and engaged in extensive discussions with KG’s representatives to explore potential resolutions. However, recently we have not received any response from KG’s representatives, leaving our legal representatives awaiting further communication.”
JYP USA denied KG's allegations and stated that they would take all necessary measures to prevent harm to other members of the girl group.
They said,
“We deeply regret KG’s decision to file a lawsuit and make unilateral public statements containing false and exaggerated claims. This action has caused significant harm to the other members of VCHA and JYP USA who have been working diligently on their upcoming album and projects for early 2025.”
