The mothers of NewJeans members came out in support of their daughters again after Belift Lab issued an official statement regarding the incident on October 7, 2024. The mothers on October 8, gave another interview to Daily Sports in order to correct Belift's statement. One of the mothers stated:

"This is why we suspect that Hybe or Belift Lab might have deleted the CCTV footage to cover up the truth."

The recent interview by the mothers of the group's members was aimed at correcting the false facts presented by the Belift Labs. One of the mothers claimed that while CCTV footage of NewJeans Hanni greeting other artists still exists, the footage showing the "ignore" comment has been deleted.

"Belift Lab made a statement on the 7th, but there were so many factual errors in it."

Mothers of NewJeans members refute Belift Lab's statement

NewJeans members' mothers gave an interview to Daily Sport on October 8, 2024, to clarify and correct the statement produced by Belift Lab on October 7 on X. The mothers claimed that the company has tried to distort the issue by stating that greetings between labels are 'a matter of good faith.'

"Belift Lab’s statement claims that greetings between labels are ‘a matter of good faith,’ but that distorts the issue. Hanni never raised an issue about someone not greeting her. The issue is that another artist’s manager told their artist to ignore Hanni.”

In the joint statement, it was clarified that the parents or NewJeans members never explicitly mentioned any specific label or artist. They have been trying to resolve the issue internally within the company. They claimed that the issue was never about 'greetings,' it has been regarding HYBE's unfair treatment towards NewJeans.

Mrs. A. claimed that they officially raised this issue by sending an email to ADOR's board of directors. The parents requested for the revelation of the identity of the manager multiple times but they never received a clear answer.

On Belift Lab's claim over Min Hee-jin's team reviewing the footage on August 14, Mrs. B, stated that it was a blatant lie and the company was trying to mislead the public by referring to 'Min Hee-jin's team' when she was not even involved. The mother expressed her frustration over HYBE's manipulation of details.

“HYBE initially told us that only the person involved could review the footage, so Hanni and one manager watched it together. How can they claim that Min’s team reviewed it and changed their stance? It’s frightening how they keep changing their story and fabricating details.”

They also stated that the footage that NewJeans Hanni reviewed included her and NewJeans' Danielle along with their ADOR manager. However, Hanni had made it clear that the incident happened when she was alone. Mrs. C noted that Belift Lab's statement has omitted facts according to their convenience. She said:

“Hanni told CEO Kim Joo-young about this during a meeting after viewing the footage, and CEO Kim promised to re-investigate since a new witness had come forward. But Belift Lab’s statement only mentions the scene where the artist greeted Hanni with a 90-degree bow, omitting the part where they passed without greeting."

During the review of the footage, the security guard told Hanni that they did not keep the latter scene and had kept a scene where she greets the person when they enter and another where she passes them without greeting them again. This is why the mothers suspect HYBE or Belift Lab of deleting the CCTV footage.

Mrs. D, added that they did not even know that CCTV footage existed of this incident yet the company kept insisting that recovering the footage after 30 days was difficult. They also misled and created confusion by referring to the company handling the footage as a 'security firm' as if an external agency was responsible for it. Another mother criticized HYBE by stating:

“Decisions about reviewing and deleting the CCTV footage were made within HYBE, not by an outside firm. This attempt to obscure even such minor details is not a proper way to address the situation.”

The mothers of NewJeans members stated that the current CEO of ADOR, Kim Joo-young, refused to release an official statement from ADOR about Belift Lab's lies citing concerns about conflicts between labels and commencing a cycle of back-and-forth responses. Mrs. A, stated that since ADOR refused to issue any statement, they had no choice but to contact Daily Sports again.

"We have no platform to convey our position when an issue arises, and the company should be the one to handle it, but they refused, so we had no choice but to contact Ilgan (Daily) Sports again."

The feud between HYBE and NewJeans began on April 22, 2024, when the company initiated an audit against the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee-jin. Since then, the feud has entangled both the members of NewJeans and their families which has resulted in the leak of sensitive information about the members and defamation of NewJeans and other artists under HYBE.
