In an interview with Korean media outlet IS Plus on September 11, 2024, actor Jung Hae-in discussed his Love Next Door co-star Jung So-min. During the interview, while promoting his upcoming film Veteran 2, the actor was asked about his ongoing drama and his widely discussed chemistry with So-min.
He commented on the on-screen chemistry between them, saying,
"We've become very comfortable and we're good at tiki-taka."
This ongoing romantic comedy series features Jung So-min and Jung Hae-in as the main leads. The drama follows a woman's journey to pursue her dreams and find happiness, while the son of her mother's friend plays a pivotal role in her narrative.

In the interview with IS Plus, regarding the on-screen chemistry between him and Jung So-min in the current tvN drama Love Next Door, Jung Hae-in graciously attributed its success to So-min. He mentioned that despite their one-year age difference, they both share a comfortable bond.
The 36-year-old actor spoke positively about their introverted personalities and the synergy that can arise when two introverts become close.
As per Jung Hae-in, the two developed a comfortable working relationship during the filming of the drama, engaging in friendly banter and camaraderie.
"We joke around a lot. Jung So-min makes it possible for me to do that," commented Hae-in.
In reference to the recent dating rumors involving the two leads, Jung Hae-in attributed it to their exceptional on-screen chemistry, which he described as legendary, particularly evident in the behind-the-scenes videos of the drama.
Additionally, Jung Hae-in confirmed that all of his co-stars from Love Next Door, whom he referred to as 'family,' would be attending the VIP screening of his upcoming film Veteran 2.
In the interview, Hae-in went on to discuss his role in the drama. He shared that after an extended period of portraying somber characters, he finally got the opportunity to play a lighthearted role.
"I've only played dark roles recently. It's been a long time since I've acted with a smiling face," he said.
He further said that Love Next Door has passed its first and middle parts and is heading towards its climax. The actor then proceeded to provide a preview of what the audience can expect from the much talked about drama. He added,
"So there will be a lot of happy scenes and good scenes that viewers want from now on. It'll be so much that you'll want to stop, so I think you can look forward to it a lot."
In addition, the actor discussed the dynamic nature of his MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality type, which fluctuated based on the project he was engaged in. During the filming of Love Next Door, his MBTI was identified as INTJ. However, upon moving to the production of Veteran 2, his MBTI shifted to ISTP and INTP.
