All you need to know about Block B and its members
Block B, a seven-member boy group, originally debuted under Stardom Entertainment on April 15, 2011. The group, consisting of Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung, Zico, and P.O, gained popularity with hits like HER, NalinA, Toy, and Very Good.
Their time with Stardom was short-lived due to a legal dispute, which ultimately resulted in the group transferring their contracts to a new agency, KQ Entertainment (formerly known as Seven Seasons), in August 2013.
Following years of successful group activities, the members began to pursue individual careers while fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea.
In November 2018, Zico, the group's leader, chose not to renew his contract and instead founded his own label, KOZ Entertainment under HYBE, in January 2019. Zico continued his solo career while also managing the boy group BOYNEXTDOOR under KOZ.
Meanwhile, P.O. followed by leaving the agency in September 2021 to focus on his acting career. He joined Artist Company, a talent agency known for representing actors, and has appeared in several dramas, including Love Alert, Mouse, and Hotel Del Luna.
In early 2023, other members Jaehyo, B-Bomb, and U-Kwon also departed from their label after their contracts expired. Jaehyo ventured into the culinary world by opening a luxurious restaurant called "Forest" in Seoul and appeared on the fishing-themed show, City Fisherman 3.
B-Bomb began his solo music career in July 2019 with the single Dawn and opened a café in Seoul named Mujabee. He also launched a YouTube channel where he shares vlogs of his daily life, and starred in the web drama My 100th Election.
U-Kwon started his solo journey in December 2019 with the single FUEGO and has since released other tracks, including Wanna Do and Tough Love.
Meanwhile, Park Kyung and Taeil were the only members to renew their contracts with the label in 2018. Recently, Park Kyung returned to the music scene with his latest track Allarilalilala, featuring Yuri. This marked his first release in four years.
Block B fans are eagerly anticipating the official announcement of the final season of Zico's show, hoping to see the group reunited on stage after a long time apart.
