Former EXO member Luhan faced a social media ban following his controversial Douyin live-streaming session. Recently, Luhan started a live-streaming session where he received alleged comments from haters. In response, the Chinese star was seen cursing and showing his middle finger to the screen.
This incident resulted in a ban on his official accounts on several social media platforms in China. Fans and netizens noticed they could not follow or interact with his official pages. On January 6, 2025, his agency, Luhan Studio, issued a formal apology on his behalf, informing the fans that he was reflecting on his actions.
However, fans have come to his defense on X, stating that the singer did not need to apologize as he was responding to the malicious comments on his livestream. Fans supported the idol for replying to the haters and were happy he fought back for himself.

Fans criticized the haters as well as the social media on the former EXO member after he responded to them during the live video.

Luhan's agency issues an apology statement following a social media ban in China & warns anti-fans for their malicious posts
The Chinese singer and actor Luhan faced criticism following his behavior during a recent live session where he cursed and showed inappropriate gestures on screen. He was soon blocked on several social media platforms in China due to his actions.
On January 6, 2025, his agency published an official statement with the idol's apology on Weibo. He showcased his remorse while apologizing to everyone who were affected.
In the statement, he said,
“During the live broadcast, I set a poor example. I hereby extend my sincere apology. I am willing to actively work to eliminate the negative social impact caused by my actions and take on the social responsibilities that an artist should bear."
He further added,
"Going forward, I will hold myself to stricter standards of conduct and express my apologies to everyone through concrete actions. Once again, I extend my sincere apologies to everyone.”
The agency, Luhan Studio, issued another statement on Weibo warning certain individuals who had been distorting information regarding the Sweet Combat actor following the live streaming. They also warned the anti-fans, who had been spreading malicious comments and slandering the artist online. They stated that they would resort to legal action if they found evidence of persistent posts and comments despite multiple warnings.
