BTS' RM created a buzz on social media with his saxophone performance at Jin's military discharge. On June 12, Jin finished his 18-month service at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.
Five BTS members—RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—came to welcome him, while Suga was absent. RM's surprise saxophone performance delighted both the members and reporters. Videos of the event quickly spread online, showing Jin's joy at seeing his bandmates and RM's musical display.
One such clip taken by a media outlet captured how the Astronaut singer reacted to RM. Jin seemed delighted by the presence of his members, watching RM's enthusiastic performance.

“I originally didn't want to cry, but I was so happy that I cried twice. My friends who I lived with for 1 year and 6 months were crying when they let me go. I was good at bringing together officers and soldiers, so I created a good atmosphere in the company.”
The K-pop idol spoke about his achievements during his time in the military where he received the “Army Bravery Award'', Awards ranked at the 2 to 3 division commander-level and 7 to 8 battalion commander-level commendations.
Jin is set to appear at the 2024 BTS FESTA
On June 13, BTS will celebrate their 11th debut anniversary with special events organized by BIGHIT MUSIC. Jin will attend his first public event since his military discharge at the Jamsil Sports Complex Field.
The event, called Jin’s Greetings, will feature the singer meeting 1000 lucky fans, chosen through a raffle, with light hugs and handshakes. This event will start at 3 p.m. KST but will not be live-streamed.
Meanwhile, the second session named Message from Jin: June 13 2024 will be streamed live for the fans who hold a membership of Weverse. It is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. KST. Jin will showcase various kinds of performances to the fans during this session.
