Actors Tang Jun-sang and Nam Da-reum are set to open KBS2's 'Drama Special 2024' with the one-act drama The History of Us. Scheduled to air on November 5, the drama will feature a star-studded cast, including Yoon Na-mu and Choi Hee-jin, as reported by Naver.
The History of Us centers on the ideological battle between a young cadet and a crown prince. The cadet is determined to preserve history, while the crown prince seeks to erase it in his bid for power.
Nam Yeo-gang (Jun-sang) is a second-ranking censor at the Yemun Hall. Known for his bookish nature, Yeo-gang becomes a historian due to his devotion to a single person. Meanwhile, with unmatched intelligence and skill, the soon-to-be crown prince of Joseon (Da-reum) aims to erase the record of his identity 'Im-o-nyeon' - a blemish on his perfect image, but Yeo-gang stands in his way.

The upcoming drama has further excited fans with the release of its first poster on October 9 by KBS.

Tang Jun-sang plays one of the leading roles, Nam Yeo-gang. Jun-sang is a South Korean actor under CL&Company. With a Malaysian-Chinese father and a Korean mother, he was born in Seoul and began his career at the age of 7 in the musical Billy Elliot (2010).
He continued to perform in various musicals, including Eileigh Seabed, West Pyeonje, Kinky Boots, and Assassin. Tang later transitioned to television, earning recognition for his lead role in the series Racket Boys, where he received critical acclaim for his performance.
The other lead, Nam Da-reum, started his career as a child actor and is widely recognized for his lead role in Beautiful World. His other notable roles include performances in dramas like Boys Over Flowers, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Pinocchio, Rain or Shine, The King in Love, While You Were Sleeping, Come and Hug Me, Radio Romance, Start-up, and Doom at Your Service.
Nam Da-reum, making his return to television after completing his military service, portrays the crown prince of Joseon in the upcoming drama.
The History of Us will also feature Yoon Na-mu as Shin Hee-soo, a scribe constantly overwhelmed by her duties, and Choi Hee-jin as Hye-bin Hong, the crown prince’s mother who is anxious about her son's safety. Special appearances by Seo Jin-won as the Left State Councilor and Jo Han-cheol as the king, the crown prince's father, will further enrich the drama.
