BTS’ Suga accused of military duty negligence amid DUI reports
On August 13, Kyunghyang, a South Korean media reported that Suga had been accused of neglecting his duties in the military. The D-DAY singer is currently serving the conscription as a social service worker and was reported to be suspected of performing his duties insincerely.
Initially, an alleged eyewitness, who served with the K-pop idol in November last year made a post on the application named Gongik Ingan, a social service-related app.
The eyewitness made accusations against Suga stating that he did not participate in educational classes despite being the team leader.
They stated,
“Suga never participated in class (educational time) for 4 nights and 5 days, the instructor must have thought it was too much because he even scolded him. He woke up one day, nodded without knowing what was going on, looked at his phone, and went back to sleep."
The eyewitness allegedly stated that due to the BTS member's negligence, his team's performance had the lowest ratings.
They added,
"He felt like a mediocre bully at the beginning of the semester when I was in school.”
A netizen has filed a civil complaint regarding the BTS rapper's alleged duty negligence to the Military Manpower Administration, after the recent DUI reports. Previously, a similar complaint was reportedly made to the same department regarding his duties. Notably, BIGHIT MUSIC has yet to make an official statement regarding the matter.
