On Thursday, September 12, a representative of the CARAT fandom, @svt_performer, posted a statement on X, talking about how SEVENTEEN's fandom stands in support of the K-pop girl group NewJeans during their ongoing conflict and struggle with HYBE Labels.

Given that SEVENTEEN is also housed under HYBE Labels' subsidiary, Pledis Entertainment, the fans expressed their concerns over how this situation could also be anticipated for the boy band members. Therefore, they stated that they condemn HYBE's treatment towards NewJeans and have are advocating for the girl group's demands to be met.

Here's what the statement read:

"I am here to say something a little heavy. This year, I have been extremely disappointed in Pledis and HYBE. In particular, I think what they are doing to NewJeans is extemely wrong. I am now concerned that the attacks on other artists may one day target our members."

Their post continued to read the following:

"I ask that HYBE return NewJeans’ surroundings to their normal state so that NewJeans can comfortably promote like they did in the beginning. Also, I ask that HYBE stop committing acts that are so disappointing. I am sorry if this made you uncomfortable but I am writing this because I feel my voice might be a little louder than others. I hope you understand."

However, this wasn't the only SEVENTEEN fandom representative who spoke up in support of the K-pop girl group. Another X user, @SEVENTEENCHIVE, rolled out a post talking about the ongoing issue between NewJeans and HYBE. Here's what their post read:

"Is it okay for a label to push their artists towards criticism so that the label’s executives can hide behind them? What they are doing to New Jeans is so disappointing and I wonder every day if this is how you’re treating your artists. I also feel that SEVENTEEN members may face a similar fate."

Both these fan pages are prominent and renowned across the SEVENTEEN fandom, and several other fans have also been taking a stance similar to these two accounts. Here are a few reactions from other fans regarding the same:

"Every acquired hybe label fan should be worried about the way hybe moves," stated an X user.
"Seventeen stans stand ALWAYS with newjeans," said a fan on X.
"Real… the girls deserve a safety and comfortable environment," said a netizen on X.
"Hey maybe seventeen should leave with newjeans and form their own company. These two groups hate hybe already so let them go," added another fan.

All you need to know about the ongoing conflict between NewJeans and HYBE Labels

On Wednesday, September 11, NewJeans kickstarted a livestream through a new YouTube channel, and soon after the livestream ended, both the channel and the video were deleted. However, many fans were able to view it through clips and posts shared online.

During the livestream, the members strongly opposed their interest in continuing with the new ADOR management. Recently, ADOR's CEO was changed from Min Hee-jin to the chief HR of HYBE Labels, Kim Ju-young. However, Min Hee-jin will continue to be the internal director of ADOR.

Regardless, there were other structural changes in the ADOR management. The production and the management departments of ADOR will now be separated and this company is the only subsidiary under HYBE Labels to have this characteristic. However, during the livestream, Newjeans expressed that they weren't happy with this department separation and that it wasn't working out for them.

They also added that they've been treated unfairly by the other staff members at HYBE Labels, and when they brought these concerns to the new CEO, she allegedly dismissed their concerns and labeled them a liar.

The girl group members have demanded that HYBE reinstate ADOR's original structure and bring back Min Hee-jin, giving the label till September 25 to do so.
