On July 8, Newsen released a report announcing HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung's upcoming wedding in October this year. The report was confirmed by HyunA's label AT AREA to the news outlet, just hours after it was speculated the duo was planning to tie the knot.

AT AREA confirmed the statement through a release to Newsen saying,

"HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung, who have been a great comfort to each other during difficult times, have tied the knot and promised to get married." (via Newsen)

Continuing the statement they further asked for blessings for the couple,

"They will hold a ceremony with close friends in October and start a new life. We would like to thank everyone who has always supported us with warm eyes, and we ask for your blessings for HyunA's future as she has made such a big decision as an artist and as a person." (via Newsen)

The pair declared their relationship on January 18, by posting the same picture of the two of them holding hands on their respective Instagram handles. While the I'm Not Cool rapper's post included a couple emoji, she was also seen liking a supportive comment by a fan.

For the unversed, HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung were members of the groups 4Minute and BEAST respectively, when they were signed under Cube Entertainment, where the two were initially label-mates. Apart from crossing paths in variety shows and on stage, their acquaintance also stems from Yong Jun-hyung's featuring in the 32-year-old idol's solo track Change back in 2010.

The wedding, which is garnering much attention from netizens and the artists' fans, is slated to take place on October 11 at a location in Seoul, as per exclusive reports by YTN.

HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung look forward to future activities following their marriage

Earlier today, when their wedding was yet to be confirmed, Yong Jun-hyung's agency, BLACK MADE, promptly came out with an issue stating this was the first time they were hearing of such news. They further said they would release a pronouncement after verifying the facts.

According to an article by YTN, the couple have been friends for a considerable amount of time and share a deep understanding of the hardships of the demanding entertainment industry. The artists' strong mutual trust and confidence come from a foundation of comfort and empathy for one another. They recently became a couple and their decision to get married is based on their confidence in their love.

The report further stated that the two are the source of each other's positive energy and look forward to even more activities in the future, after their marriage.

At the same time, before HyunA's almost six-month relationship with her current partner, she was in a relationship with rapper Dawn. After reportedly six years of courtship, which began in 2016 and was made public in 2018, the duo parted ways in 2022, when she shared an official break-up announcement on her Instagram account.

On the professional front, the former Wonder Girls member parted from her previous agency P NATION on August 29, 2022. She later signed under AT AREA, per the announcement on November 6, 2023. HyunA released her first EP Attitude boasting four songs, under her current label on May 2, 2024.

Yong Jun-hyung rolled out his EP Beautiful Dystopia containing five tracks on March 25, 2024. He is making waves with his comeback as he also ranked high on iTunes Top Albums Charts in six regions worldwide.
