BTS fans have expressed their anger as the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency reportedly made statements regarding Suga's DUI case. On August 12, the police held a press conference to address his drunk driving investigation. According to Xports News, the BTS rapper is coordinating with the police and will soon be summoned for an investigation.

According to the police, the date of Suga's summons has not been decided yet. Furthermore, they have also traced the route he was drunk driving during the incident on August 6.

They said,

“We have confirmed the final distance traveled and route, but it is difficult to confirm at this point as the investigation is ongoing.”

Besides, it was previously reported that the blood alcohol content detected in Suga following the incident was 0.227 percent. The alcohol percentage found was way higher than 0.08 percent, which is the license revocation limit.

The police made a statement regarding the alcohol content, stating,

“We can say that it is at a level where a license is revoked, but it is difficult to confirm the specific figure.”

This has fueled further criticism against the alleged misinformation spread online. Netizens and fans have blamed South Korean media for allegedly making false reports. Netizens expressed their demands that the agency BIGHIT MUSIC should reveal the details.

More about BTS’ Suga's Driving Under Influence case

On Tuesday, August 6, Suga was reported to have drunk driving on an electric kickboard/scooter around the area of Yongsan in Seoul. He reportedly fell while riding the electric scooter near his residence, and the police from the neighborhood took the BTS member for a breathalyzer test confirming that the Haegeum singer was drunk.

On August 7, the D-DAY singer took to Weverse to admit to his actions and apologize to the fans and netizens concerned. He stated,

“Hello, I'm Suga. I feel very heavy and sorry to come to you with disappointment. After drinking at the dinner table last night, I got home on an electric kickboard.”

The BTS member admitted that he had violated the traffic rules unintentionally and also revealed that there were no casualties or property damage during the incident. He further added,

“In the process of setting up an electric kickboard at the front door of the house, I fell alone, and there was a police officer around me, so I took a breath test and found that my license was revoked and a fine was imposed. There were no people or facilities damaged in this process, but I would like to bow down and apologize to everyone because it is my inexcusable responsibility.”

Furthermore, his agency BIGHIT MUSIC also confirmed the same in a statement on the same day.
