No Gain No Love: Cast and Plot
The plot of No Gain No Love centers on a lady who schemes to enter a fake marriage in order to gain a promotion at work. She persuades a man who, albeit accepting the ridiculous offer, will eventually pay a price.
Shin Min-a plays the role of Son Hae-young, a specialist in profit and loss accounting who detests losing money in both her romantic and personal relationships. Hae-young is someone who frequently views her relationships as merely break-even, and she stages a fictitious wedding when she fears losing out on a promotion at work.
Kim Young-dae portrays Kim Ji-wook, an evening employee of a convenience shop who doubles as a neighborhood watchman and citizen police officer. Ji-wook is an ideal part-time employee because of his genuine nature, strong work ethic, and inability to overlook people in need. Ji-wook gets a part-time job as a groom who would only attend the wedding after getting an outlandish proposal from a client named Son Hae-young.
In the meanwhile, Lee Sang-yi gives his performance as Bok Gyu-hyeon, an unmarried third-generation CEO of a chaebol who rejects destiny and novel-like love. Haeyoung works at Kkulbee Education, where Gyu-hyeon is the president. As Nam Yeon, a 19-year-old well-known web novelist who exclusively writes about love, Han Ji-hyun introduces herself to the audience.
