The 31st Billboard Music Awards, aka BBMAs, is set to begin on December 12, 2024, at 8 pm ET. To mark the momentous event, Billboard has organized a packed lineup of varied acts, spanning from K-pop to Afropop.

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards nominees Stray Kids and SEVENTEEN will represent K-pop music on the global stage with their eagerly anticipated performances.

While the former will be performing two songs, the latter will rock the audience with their track LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled). K-pop fans can livestream the 2024 Billboard Music Awards on FOX and Amazon Fire TV. Later on, the awards ceremony can be watched on Paramount+.

For those unaware, Stray Kids are nominated in three categories, while the boy band SEVENTEEN earned one Billboard nomination this year.

BTS' Jungkook earned most K-pop nominations for the 2024 Billboard Music Awards

On November 25, Billboard Music Awards presented the full list of finalists. In the K-pop list of nominees, BTS' Jungkook became the idol with the most nominations—a total of six nominations. Besides Jungkook, the other finalists featured K-pop idols and groups including BTS’ Jimin, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN.

This year only BTS' Jungkook and Jimin have been added as independent artists to the K-pop nominees list of the 2024 Billboard Music Awards. The popular boy bands ENHYPEN and ATEEZ achieved their first nomination at the 2024 BBMAs.

More about the 2024 BBMAs

The award show will be hosted by American comedian and actress Michelle Buteau. The scheduled awards ceremony seeks to "celebrate music’s greatest achievements," as noted in the press statement, which reads:

“The BBMAs will celebrate music’s greatest achievements with exclusive original performances, artist interviews, and award celebrations taking place from global locations and in the midst of sold-out tours.”

The eligibility dates for the 2024 awards correspond to Billboard's Year-End Charts tracking period, which extends from October 28, 2023, to October 19, 2024. All of the performances during the event will be posted on Billboard.com, as well as via BBMAs and Billboard social networks.
