Dominic David Fike is a 29-year-old American singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor who kickstarted his music career in 2017 by rolling out beats and songs on SoundCloud with his former producer, Hunter Pfeiffer. He soon released his first EP in October 2018 called Don't Forget About Me, Demos. He reportedly recorded the EP during his house arrest for battery of a police officer.

The album gained more attention when he was serving jail time for violating the house arrest. He shared that he focused much on creating music using his surroundings during his time in jail. He stated the following in a video interview on his official YouTube channel,

"The sink had a tone; it had a note to it. I called my producer one day, and I banged on my sink and asked him what note it was. From there, I was able to play the note and play up the C major scale. I was able to write music that way."

Following his release, he signed with Columbia Records. One of his much-acclaimed releases after signing on with the label was 3 Nights, a single that was commended by several credible outlets like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Billboard.

In 2019, Dominic Fike released two other singles, Açai Bowl and Roller Blades, followed by a later single called Phone Numbers. He also rolled out a tour called Rain or Shine with a North American leg, making stops across Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and more. He also released his first studio album, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, in 2020, accompanied by other singles like Chicken Tenders, Politics & Violence, etc.

Following his feature on Justin Bieber's track, Die For You, the artist's next project was Euphoria's second season. However, in 2023, he was almost removed from the cast for alleged frequent drug abuse.
