THE BLACK LABEL revealed the fifth and final member of their first-ever girl group MEOVV to be Narin. On August 29, Narin's trailer was unveiled through the official social media pages of the girl group.
Not much regarding the yet-to-be K-pop idol has been disclosed besides her age and place of birth. Narin is 17 years old and was born on August 15, 2007, and is the second youngest member after Ella. She was born in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
In the introduction trailer, the MEOVV member was surrounded by her classmates and disinterested in their conversation. As they left, she found a mystic vending machine, which allowed her to change her style.

By the end of the trailer, Narin found herself in the backyard, where she gave a glimpse of her rapping skills, suggesting that she might take the position of a rapper. However, the positions of each member are yet to be revealed by THE BLACK LABEL.
The trailer was accompanied by the phrase,
“By chance, I got a cool item from a vending machine then I found myself in my backyard.”

On August 29, Narin was announced as the last member of THE BLACK LABEL's girl group MEOVV, confirming it to be a five-member band. On August 16, the agency released a teaser hinting at the girl group's debut with five noir cats sitting on top of their headquarters’ rooftop in Seoul.
South Korean-American model Ella McKenzie Gross was announced as the first member of the girl group. She has a personal Instagram account @ellagross boasting over 4.1 million followers. The second member was Gawon aka Lee Gawon, a former YG Entertainment trainee and model who is also Korean-American.
Meanwhile, Sooin, born in South Korea was the third member to be revealed on August 25, 2024. The fourth member introduced was Anna, a Japanese actress and model. Her full name is Tanaka Anna and she comes from Toyama, Japan.
Notably, THE BLACK LABEL was founded by Teddy Park, one of the most popular music producers in the K-pop industry known to have worked with huge artists like BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, 2NE1, and more.
The anticipation for THE BLACK LABEL's first girl group has been at an all-time high since the news was first out in February 2024. The agency is a subsidiary label of YG Entertainment and is home to artists like Jeon Somi, and Taeyang, and K-drama stars like Park Bo-gum and Lee Jong-won. The management company also oversees the solo activities and projects of BLACKPINK vocalist Rosé.
Besides this, the upcoming girl group also signed with Capitol Records in collaboration with THE BLACK LABEL.
MEOVV's pre-listening pop-up event
THE BLACK LABEL has prepared an exciting event for the potential fans of MEOVV. They are set to hold a seven-day pre-listening event from Thursday, August 29, 2024, to Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The event is scheduled to be held at the Hyundai Seoul, B2F, Heights Exchange.
Advance Reservation began on August 27, which will allow the attendees to get to experience the snippets of the unreleased music of MEOVV, photo booth session, and merchandise. Meanwhile, on-site registration attendees will only get a chance to experience the photo booth and buy merchandise.
THE BLACK LABEL is yet to confirm the official debut date of MEOVV.
