Taka, also known as Takahiro Moriuchi, is a Japanese singer and musician. He rose to prominence as the leading vocalist of the rock band One Ok Rock and is better known as the group's lyricist and composer. The 36-year-old artist was a former member of NEWS and departed from the team in 2003.

For those unversed, BigHit Music announced through a press release on the South Korean social media platform Weverse on November 25 that the Japanese singer would be the featured artist on BTS' Jin's forthcoming track Falling, which is set to be released tomorrow. The agency mentioned in the press release:

"This song features Taka, the vocalist of the Japanese band ONE OK ROCK, who also participated in the production of the song "Falling" from Jin's first solo album, "Happy." With the addition of Taka's powerful voice, the song lets you feel the emotions of love in a new, deeper way."

Taka joined Johnny's Entertainment at the age of thirteen

Takahiro Moriuchi was born on April 17, 1988, in Tokyo, Japan. He hails from a family filled with artists in the entertainment industry, including singers, actors, models, and TV personalities. He is the eldest son of the prominent Japanese singers Masako Mori and Shinichi Mori.

While Kerrang Magazine ranked the artist under the list of the '50 Greatest Rockstars in the World' in 2007, Rock Sound magazine has cited him as one of the 50 Most Influential Figures in Rock.

His siblings, including Tomohiro Moriuchi and Hiroki Moriuchi, are presently TV personalities and the leading vocalist of My First Story group, respectively. Subsequently, he dropped out of high school to pursue a musical career despite objections from his parents.

In August 2001, he signed with the Japanese talent agency Johnny's Entertainment at the age of thirteen. Later, he joined as a trainee in Johnny's Jr. After appearing in a few music shows, he was selected as a member of the band NEWS in September 2003.

After leaving NEWS and Johnny's Entertainment, he appeared in the cover band Chivalry of Music in 2004. He was part of the team for the time being. Subsequently, he was invited by the Japanese guitarist Toru Yamashita to join One Ok Rock 2005.

He collaborated with the American rock band Against the Current for their track Dreaming Alone in July 2015 as a guest vocalist. He was further featured on Goldfinger's Don't Let Me Go. Subsequently, he appeared in Linkin Park and Friends- Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, where he performed Somewhere I Belong to pay tribute to Chester Bennington on October 27, 2017.
