On August 21, 2024, BTS' Kim Taehyung aka V made headlines online after enraged fans trended "ADD TAEHYUNG'S MUSIC" globally X. BIGHIT MUSIC (now HYBE Labels) updated BTS UK Shop's official website banners with the album cover image of all members' solo projects like MUSE, GOLDEN, The Astronaut, D-DAY, Indigo, and HOPE ON THE STREET.

Fans noticed that BTS' V's solo album, Layover, and his solo single FRI(END)S were both missing from the website banner. It is important to note that the musician's solo album is available under the "Shop The Latest" section on the website's homepage, but fans were furious that the banner didn't include his album's cover, which led them to trend "ADD TAEHYUNG'S MUSIC" on X.

Furthermore, they mentioned that Namjoon's solo album, Indigo, and Jin's solo single, The Astronaut, from 2022 were both added to the banner slides. This made fans confused and they wondered the cause for allegedly such different treatment towards the Winter Bear singer-songwriter. One fan wrote on X,

"WHERE IS LAYOVER? @bts_bighit why is only Taehyung’s music missing from the banner on the store website?? While all the members albums and even singles have included but NONE of Taehyung’s music is there!! Please rectify it asap! ADD TAEHYUNG’S MUSIC"

Others tagged BIGHIT MUSIC's official X account and demanded they rectify the error immediately.

"ONLY Taehyung’s music is missing from the banner on the uk bts store website while all the members' albums and even singles/collabs are included!!" one fan wrote.
"If Taehyung is no longer part of the company (amen), we, HIS fans, have the supreme right to know, so that we don't have to keep demanding that you stop doing such a filthy job with him," another X user wrote.
"@bts_bighit Kim Taeyhung is also a BTS MEMBER be fair enough!!!! WHERE IS LAYOVER???" another X user added.

However, some fans lashed out at the label and claimed that they had been allegedly mistreating Taehyung for a long time.

"Well, it's not surprising. For a decade, he has been treated like this. And now it's happening again. If you do have any shame, then please correct your mistake and add LAYOVER right now. It's not a small mistake. Rather, it's very disrespectful," one fan said.
"Taehyung manages to shine on his own but bh as the biased company that it is keeps treating him as an outsider 'sigh' BIGHIT BE FAIR TO TAEHYUNG," another fan commented.
"Taehyung left BTS or what can this people tell us the truth for once, this manipulative company wil do everything to milk him bt deadbeat on promoting him,why is he always excluded and treated like an adopted stepcousin, must we trend for the bare minimum too when it comes to him," one other fan remarked.
