BTS’ Jungkook is all over social media as fans celebrate a day in his name by sharing favorite moments created by the idol and why they love him. On January 9, 2025, fans started using several phrases and hashtags praising Jungkook.
January 9 is specifically celebrated as JK Day because of a wish Jungkook mentioned in BTS' 2018 Seasons Greetings calendar. A Season's Greetings package, which is released annually, includes concept photographs of the members. The package also includes a yearly planner, calendar, and a behind-the-scenes DVD.
The BTS member had marked January 9 to be celebrated as his day. He wished that on that day, fans would take the time to do anything they would like and share it on the internet.
“JK DAY—Do something, whatever it be, and upload it!!! (On the internet),” he wrote.
The Standing Next to You singer also shared a tweet in 2019 in commemoration of the day. Notably, January 9 (1/9) is the opposite of Jungkook’s birthday, September 1 (9/1). This is why it seems the singer picked this specific date. This year, fans decided to showcase their love for the idol with hashtags like #HAPPYJKDAY and #NeverLetJungkookGo.
Fans also shared their messages for him on X.
“The one who is always there and makes our hearts beat again, the one who brings back the color of our voices. Years go by, and we will always be standing next to you. We love you JungKook #정국 #JungKook HAPPY JK DAY 2025,” a fan said.
“From the moment I saw this video I knew I was in for something special. Truth! Caved. Never looked back. Jungkook, thank you for making my day extra special ever since that day,” another fan said.
“Jungkookie your presence lights up my world. Thank you for coming into my life & making it worth living. I love you & miss you a lot,” a user added.
Fans in South Korea also shared their love for the BTS member during Jungkook Day.
“Loving Jungkook has changed my life for the better, and I want to let you know that, and remind you of how special it is to live in the same world as Jeon Jungkook. I love you Jungkook!! I miss you Jungkook!!” a fan stated
“You are the best thing that has ever happened to us in our lives….,” a user added

BTS’ Jungkook took to Weverse to share New Year’s greetings with fans while expressing his sincere feelings on January 8, 2025. The singer shared that he missed his fans and decided to write them a message.
“I don't think that there has been a big change in how I feel; just like it has always been, I am just simply full of feeling that I miss you. There isn't really anything specific I want to talk about, but now I'm just waiting for the time left," he said.
He added that he was working on improving himself by gaining new skills.
"But if there was one thing that I wanted to do, even a day earlier, it would be taking time to learn a wide variety of things and focusing myself on growing/improving for ARMYS.”
Jungkook further wished that fans would receive an abundance of blessings and hoped that they would take care of their health.
The BTS maknae is expected to be relieved from his military duties in 2025.
