Fans of SEVENTEEN's JUN are demanding better protection of the idol from his agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, after some people allegedly invaded his privacy at an airport. The Chinese member of the K-pop boy group has been traveling overseas due to his busy schedule.
On September 18, JUN's pictures from the seating area went viral on social media. The pictures were seemingly taken by people who followed him at the airport. A picture also showed a group of alleged stalkers standing in front of JUN.
Netizens later found an X account sharing images of the singer at the airport and expressed their disappointment in PLEDIS Entertainment for their alleged lack of security. This incident has deeply concerned SEVENTEEN fans. They urged his agency to tighten security around JUN when he is traveling and trended phrases like #PLEDIS_PROTECT_JUN on X.
"Jun is NOT anybody! HE IS A PART OF SEVENTEEN!! He is YOUR ARTIST that you should be protecting!! Providing a body guard for him won't push you into bankruptcy!! DO YOUR JOB AND PROTECT YOUR ARTIST," a fan said.
"THIS IS SO DISGUSTING DO YOU KNOW THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE FOLLOWING HIM YOU DID NOT KNOW THE BOUNDARIES HUH?!?! PLEDIS PROTECT JUNHUI AT ALL COST," a user stated.
Other netizens also shared similar sentiments on JUN's security.
"He just looks so helpless with his hands like that. like he didn't want to be bothered or get his picture taken but at the same time, he can't lash out to fans. why are there no guards stopping them?," a fan commented.
"There are really people who cannot understand the word "BOUNDARIES" So annoying and disrespectful!," another fan commented.
"I feel so bad for jun, he's experiencing this much of invasion every time aND PLEDIS AINT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS," a user wrote.
Fans continued showing concern for the artist and condemning the sasaeng's actions.
"He isn't a god damn zoo animal to be oogled at. He is a human being and deserves more protection. For crying out loud pledis do something," a fan said.
"This is not something that a sane and normal person would do. Y’all are sick in da head for doing this to Jun," a user said.
"I don't get this pic at first glance, but now i'm feeling sick Poor moon junhui wth were these 'fans' thinking???and why he's alone, where's the security??!!!f***ing hell i'm flabbergasted," a fan stated.
Fans have mobbed SEVENTEEN's JUN on multiple other occasions at the airport
This is not the first time hordes of people followed SEVENTEEN's JUN. In September 2023, Jun traveled to China for a schedule. As he made his way to the exit, he faced a huge mob of fans rushing towards him, leaving him with little space to leave the airport.
Besides this, in February 2024, JUN arrived at Incheon International Airport for another schedule in China, and fans flocked to see him off for his international schedule. According to the clips recorded by the reporters, fans were seen pushing each other to be close to the idol. However, he was able to manage the crowd with his manager.
In other news, JUN will not be able to participate in the upcoming world tour and comeback promotions of SEVENTEEN due to his solo schedule in China.
