South Korean actors Kim Nam-gil and Ha Jung-woo were recently at a press interview in Seoul, promoting their upcoming movie Nocturnal. During the Q&A round, the actors were asked what genre they would like to try next.
In the video posted on X by user @gongjicheoIs, both actors answered at the same time. Kim Nam-gil answered "comedy" and Ha Jung-woo answered "BL" (meaning Boy Love, where the story revolves around the romance between two male characters). Fans took to X to react to the interaction. Some approached it with humor, and some were surprised. One comment read:

Fans, and even Kim Nam-gil, were all taken by surprise at Ha Jung-woo's answer. There was a light-hearted moment between the leading duo following the answer. Fans flooded social media with a variety of reactions from humor to support.
"Nah Now I want a comedy bl by KN and HJW," another fan said.
"GET THEM THAT OLD MAN YAOI PLSSSSHS i will be at front row," wrote another fan.
"He is not afraid of success and I'm here to support his BL agenda," wrote a fan in support.
Jung-woo's response to the question was met with admiration from the fans. They took this interaction to extend their support towards mainstream actors acting in BL dramas.
"Ha Jung Woo heard us!! But meanwhile Namgil:" added a fan with a gif image of a man smiling slyly.
"when i said i want namgil and hjw in romance i was thinking like them doing it separately on their own but them as a pair in a 'normal' bl is not an entirely bad idea tbh," another person said.

Nocturnal is a mystery thriller film directed and written by Kim Jin-hwang. One day, Bae Min-tae's (played by Ha Jung-woo) brother is found dead and his wife goes missing.
He sets out to find the truth and comes across best-selling novelist Kang Ho-ryeong (played by Kim Nam-gil), whose novel Nocturnal Trip had predicted Min-tae's brother's fate. Meanwhile, Ho-ryeong is also on the same trail as Min-tae.
The matter becomes serious when the law gets involved and Min-tae uncovers the puzzling mystery behind his brother's death. Yoo Da-in, Jung Man-shik, Im Sung-jae, and Heo Sung-tae play pivotal roles in the film. Nocturnal is slated to release in South Korea on February 5, 2025.
