BLACKPINK is garnering attention online as members announce back-to-back solo releases, fueling group comeback speculations. Recently, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie announced solo comeback album releases for February 14, February 18, and March 7, 2025, respectively. Previously, Rosé dropped her first full-length solo album, rosie, on December 6, 2024.
As the BLACKPINK members' solo album releases are just a few days apart from each other, fans wonder if this is because YG Entertainment is planning a group comeback soon. Notably, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa did not sign solo contracts with YG Entertainment and have been producing individual projects through other labels.
However, the four members have signed a contract with the agency in 2023 to continue group activities with them. Given the schedule of Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie’s music release, fans have speculated that YG Entertainment has set an alleged deadline.
Fans speculate that this deadline is for the K-pop idols to wrap up solo activities before returning for a group comeback. Fans shared hilarious jokes surrounding the alleged YG deadline while anticipating the group's reunion and return to the music scene.

BLACKPINK members’ solo music releases: Lisa—Alter Ego, Jisoo—AMORTAGE, and Jennie—Ruby
Jisoo, the eldest member of BLACKPINK, is set to drop her mini album ARMORTAGE on February 14, 2025. On February 4, she will unveil the official tracklist alongside the title song poster. She will also drop three concept posters on February 5, 6, and 7. Notably, besides the album, Jisoo is gearing up for the release of her upcoming drama Newtopia on February 7, 2025.
BLACKPINK's maknae and rapper Lisa is also set to drop her first full-length album titled Alter Ego, which is scheduled to be out February 28, 2025. The album is conceptualized in five themed personas, namely Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni, and Speedi, and is known to have 12 tracks. The album will feature some popular artists like Rosalía, who previously collaborated with Lisa on the song New Woman, and others like Doja Cat and Raye.
Jennie has also announced the release date of her album, Ruby, which will showcase her music variations through different genres, joining forces with renowned artists like Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Kali Uchis, FKJ, and Dominic Fike. On January 25, 2025, Jennie unexpectedly unveiled the music video for her song Zen, leaving fans and listeners in surprise. The album Ruby is set to be released on March 7, 2025, on all music services platforms.
Although the group will be reportedly releasing an album this year, followed by a world tour, YG Entertainment has not disclosed any details regarding the same.
