On June 28, 2024, BLACKPINK Lisa made a solo comeback with her latest single, Rockstar, released under Lloud. The rapper's artist management company, Lloud, shared the music video for the record through its official YouTube channel.
The rapper's latest record, Rockstar, marked her first solo track in three years and first release under Lloud and RCA Records after she decided not to renew her contract with YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in December 2023.
Lloud and RCA Records have undergone a partnership according to which BLACKPINK Lisa would retain all the ownership rights for her music, and they would support her individual endeavors. As the music video for Rockstar was dropped, clips from the MV circulated on social media and went viral.
