Recently, Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min's K-drama, Love Next Door, was released on Netflix with the first two episodes. On August 16, they posed together for Elle Korea and shared their experience filming for the romantic comedy.
Moreover, the drama is said to be Jung Hae-in's first romantic comedy project. Talking about behind the scenes, Jung Hae-in said:
“The stories of the families, as well as the stories between each character, are very warm and healing. The atmosphere on set is also warm and considerate, so if you watch the making film later, you’ll probably see me smiling a lot.”
Love Next Door was released on tvN and Netflix on August 17 and will air weekly on every Saturday and Sunday. The plot of Love Next Door centers around childhood friends, who come across each other as adults, dealing with various issues in their lives. Director Yoo Je-won and writer Shin Ha-eun have come together for the drama.

While discussing their upcoming drama Love Next Door, Jung So-min highlighted the anticipation for the unexpected, especially since viewers haven't seen Jung Hae-in in a comedic role before.
Despite her experience with romantic comedies, she leaned on Hae-in during filming and felt a synchronization with his character, Seung-hyo. Hae-in, meanwhile, shared that rather than acting in a comic manner, he was put in some funny situations, that added to the comedy.
He aimed to make the situations in the drama enjoyable and relatable without worrying about clichés, focusing on creating empathy through everyday acting.
Jung So-min found comfort in the project and valued that each character had their own story. She hopes viewers will relate to these characters and draw strength from their journeys. Jung Hae-in echoed this, emphasizing the warmth and healing aspects of the storylines and the considerate, joyful atmosphere on set.
Further talking about their character's personalities, Jung So-min expressed admiration for those who are naturally composed, admitting she envies their calmness as she works hard to hide her own anxieties.
Jung Hae-in noted that while he respects those who excel in their fields, envy isn’t his motivator. Rather, he focuses on finding happiness in his work and the sense of accomplishment it brings.

Love Next Door is a romantic comedy K-drama starring Jung Hae-in, Jung So-min, along with Kim Ji-eun, and Yoon Ji-on. The series revolves around Bae Seok-ryu and Choi Seung-hyo, childhood friends whose mothers are friends.
