Chae Soo-bin and Yoo Yeon-seok starrer When the Phone Rings which was released on November 22 has fans swooning over the enemies to lovers turned lead couple and waiting for the upcoming finale. Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin recently won the Best Couple Award for When The Phone Rings at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards. What caught the attention of the fans was the display image used in the background while they received the awards.
Hee-joo (played by Chae Soo-bin) had called Sa-eon( played by Yoo Yeon-seok), her husband, posing to be the kidnapper and shared faceless images of herself wearing a lacey night suit, with her thighs exposed. Later, Sa-eon survives a blast and comes home. The image is that of a scene where Sa-eon, the male lead comes home eager to check his Hee-joo's thigh for a birthmark.

He gets close to her, props her on the counter, and tries to slightly pull up her skirt to check for the birthmark but stops after Hee-joo seems hesitant. This scene which had the fans on edge was used as a nomination clip as well as the background image. Fans found this quite amusing.

The winners of the MBC Drama Awards 2024, announced on December 30, have been revealed. In light of the recent Jeju airplane crash, the ceremony was not broadcast live. However, videos and photos have since surfaced online, along with a leaked list of honorees.
Chief Detective 1958 was named Drama of the Year, while Byun Yo-han won Best Actor for playing the medical student Go Jung-woo in Black Out, and Kim Nam-joo secured Best Actress for playing Eun Soo-hyun, the psychology professor in Wonderful World. The Best New Actor awards went to Heo Nam-joon for playing Ji Sang-woo in When the Phone Rings and Lee Ga-seop for portraying twins Hyun Su-oh and Hyun Geon-oh in Black Out.
Chae Won-bin received Best New Actress for Doubt. Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin were recognized as Best Couple for When the Phone Rings. Lee Jong-won (Knight Flower) and Chae Soo-bin (When the Phone Rings) earned Excellence Awards, and the Top Excellence Award was shared by Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Je-hoon (Chief Detective 1958), and Lee Hanee (Knight Flower).
The prestigious Daesang (Grand Prize) was awarded to Han Suk-kyu for his performance in Doubt as Jang Tae-su.
