On December 27, 2024, the South Korean actor and rising star Byeon Woo-seok was honored with the Grand Prize (Daesang) Best Actor of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards. The ninth edition of the award ceremony took place at the Impact Challenger Hall, Muang Thong Thani, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The male actor was awarded the mentioned recognition for his role as Ryu Sun-jae in the globally hit time-travel drama Lovely Runner. Upon receiving the trophy, Byeon Woo-seok delivered the following acceptance speech:
