Former LABOUM member Yulhee is garnering attention for revealing FTISLAND's Choi Min-hwan's alleged adult entertainment activities and has filed a legal case against him for her children’s custody. In September 2017, FNC Entertainment confirmed Choi Min-hwan and Yulhee started dating after getting to know each other. In November 2017, Yulhee parted ways with LABOUM.
In January 2018, Choi Min-hwan announced his marriage to Yulhee through Instagram, and in May 2018, he shared the news of Yulhee's pregnancy through his fan cafe. FNC Entertainment also confirmed that the two had legally registered their marriage and would hold a ceremony after Yulhee's recovery. On May 28, they welcomed their first baby boy, Choi Jae-yul.
They held the official wedding ceremony on October 19, 2018, inviting some of their close friends and family. Later that year, in December, the couple joined the KBS2 TV show Mr. House Husband with their family as regular members.

During an episode of Mr. House Husband in August 2019, they disclosed Yulhee's second pregnancy with twins. On February 11, 2020, Choi Min-hwan confirmed through his Instagram that the couple had welcomed their twin daughters, Choi Ah-yoon and Choi A-rin. Later that month, the family left the show while Choi Min-hwan enlisted in the military.
The FTISLAND member concluded his duties and was discharged in September 2021. On December 4, 2023, Yulhee and Choi Min-hwan shared posts on their Instagram pages confirming their divorce.
Yulhee reportedly files a legal case against FTISLAND's Choi Min-hwan for her children's custody
On October 25, Ex-LABOUM member Yulhee released a video on her YouTube sharing alleged audio recordings accusing her ex-husband Choi Min-hwan of allegedly using adult entertainment services while they were married. On the same day, FNC Entertainment announced that Choi Min-hwan would halt all media and FTISLAND activities following the accusations. It was also announced that the singer departed from the KBS2 TV show The Return of Superman, where he appeared with his children.
According to the Korea JoongAng Daily, on November 4, Yulhee reportedly filed a legal case against the FTISLAND member to make changes in custodial rights and alimony. As per the reports, she claimed that the matter was important and not properly discussed during the divorce proceedings in 2023.
As of now, the FTISLAND member has custody of all three children. Following the reports, it was discussed that the initial custody would be given to Choi Min-hwan and transferred to Yulhee as she gains financial stability to raise the three of them.
Yulhee appeared on Now I'm Alone, a TV Chosun Show, stating that she did not want to disclose her ex-husband’s alleged wrongdoings, but she received malicious reactions from netizens as a mother of three kids.
She said,
“I was upset that people's image of me was different from my actual life as a mother. That's why I decided to appear on 'I'm Alone Now'. I wanted to say that I have never abandoned my children. I still didn't want to talk about it. I really didn't want to reveal it. More than anyone else.”
Meanwhile, Choi Min-hwan and Yulhee's legal marriage lasted five years and ended in 2023. As per The Straits Times, the Gangnam Police Station confirmed on October 25 that it had initiated an internal investigation into Choi concerning charges under the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts.
