On August 20, 2024, Zico's SPOT! (feat. Jennie) reportedly bagged the Best Music/Song Award at the 2024 K-World Dream Awards. The South Korean media outlet TV Daily reported that it was pre-announced before the scheduled date.

The organizing committee has declared the list of winners for the K-World Dream Best Music/Song Awards category two days before the physical award ceremony. It will be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea, August 22, 2024.

Zico dropped his collaborative track SPOT! (feat. Jennie) on April 26, 2024, through KOZ Entertainment. The track served as the eleventh digital single by the rapper and featured BLACKPINK member Jennie.

According to the outlet, the 2024 K-World Dream Awards announced Zico's SPOT! (feat. Jennie) as the winner of the Best Music/Song Award. This win garnered a plethora of compliments about the track. Zico has been commemorating the tenth anniversary of his solo debut and subsequently topping the domestic and international music charts with his latest track.

The 2024 K-World Dream Awards further elaborated on how Zico's SPOT! gained attention due to the participation of BLACKPINK member and commented:

"This song, which garnered attention because it featured Jennie of the group BLACKPINK, has been at the top of major domestic music charts for four months. Last month, the song surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on the global music streaming platform, Spotify, becoming the second song to have achieved a billion-dollar stream on the platform following any song."

The track was penned by Zico. The record was composed and provided with arrangements by prominent artists, including Zico, Eun Hee-young, and No Identity. It topped the No.1 position on the iTunes Top Songs chart in thirty-one regions and secured the first spot on the Melon's Top 100 Bugs and Genie's real-time music charts in South Korea.

As per the details revealed by the K-World Dream Awards to the outlet, the artists who won Best Music/Song Awards were SEVENTEEN, IVE, (G) I-DLE, Le Sserafim, and others.

For those unversed, the prestigious 2024 K-World Dream Awards is one of the largest K-pop music festivals on an international level, spreading the Korean Wave. The upcoming event is expected to draw 10 million K-pop enthusiasts to South Korea. It was announced that the broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo, comedian Jang Do-yeon, Kim Min-ki, and Hwang In-hye would join the award show as the MCs.


In recent news, BLACKPINK member launched her own music label, Odd Atelier, in November 2023 and decided not to renew her exclusive individual contract with YG Entertainment on December 29, 2023.

The female artist also revealed that her upcoming solo debut album would premiere soon in the fan sign event Our Area with Blinks held on August 8, 2024, to commemorate the group's eighth anniversary.
