Prime Video aired episodes 7 and 8 of No Gain No Love starring Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyun, and more on September 16 and 17, respectively. Episode 7 of No Gain No Love began with Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) recalling her traumatic experience with her abusive father when Yeo Ha-jun (Lee You-jin) asked her why she transferred schools during high school.
The next scene picked up from the previous episode of No Gain No Love, where Son Hae-young (Shin Min-ah), Kim Ji-uk (Kim Young-dae), and Ahn Woo-jae (Go Wook) fell asleep in the same hotel room after getting drunk. The next morning, Kwon Yi-lin (Jeon Hye-won) visited their room and sensed that something was happening between Son Hae-young and Ahn Woo-jae.
After leaving the hotel, Kwon Yi-lin revealed that Ahn Woo-jae was transferred to Son Hae-young's team and was unhappy about it. Meanwhile, Ahn Woo-jae also heard Son Hae-young and Kim Ji-uk discussing their divorce. By the end of No Gain No Love episode 7, Son Hae-young kissed Kim Ji-uk, causing a shift in their relationship.

No Gain No Love ep 7-8 recap: Son Hae-young learns a shocking truth about Kim Ji-uk
In episode 7 of No Gain No Love, Kkulbee Education employees learned about the scam a married employee pulled to receive the benefits at the company. This made Son Hae-young more concerned about her fake marriage and asked Kim Ji-uk to act more like a real husband even at work so no one would get suspicious.
She also offered him to move to her rooftop room to make things work more smoothly. Kim Ji-uk agreed as he decided to not take any more offers from Bok Gi-ho (Choi Jin-ho).
On the other hand, Nam Ja-yeon visited the orphanage to check on Bok Gyu-hyun. Yeo Ha-jun also joined him for his community service penalty. After seeing Nam Ja-yeon at the orphanage, Bok Gyu-hyun was surprised and tried his best to keep her identity as writer Yeon Bo-ra from Yeo Ha-jun.
Son Hae-young, with the assistance of her housemates, adjusted Kim Ji-uk’s clothes and belongings in her house and invited her colleagues for a house party. She invited her team members, Ahn Woo-jae, Kwon Yi-lin, and Bok Gyu-hyun’s secretary Yeo Ha-jun.
After the house party, Kim Ji-uk went to the rooftop with his suitcase and their wedding photo frame. Son Hae-young followed him to the terrace and kissed him, concluding episode 7 of No Gain No Love.
In episode 8 of No Gain No Love, Son Hae-young revealed that Ahn Woo-jae was keeping an eye on them outside their house and that it was why she kissed him. Kim Ji-uk seemed disappointed because he thought she liked him but that was not the case.
In the next scene, Kim Ji-uk went for another kiss and although Son Hae-young was initially caught off guard and resisted, she also gave in. Then, he asked her how far she would go to keep this fake act and said that if she was ready to do anything, he would also just have fun with her. The two regretted their actions and could not sleep the whole night.
The next day, Kim Ji-uk attempted to make it up to Son Hae-young by helping her with household chores like opening the jar and fixing the remote and tube light. However, she was an expert at it all and didn't need his help.
Kim Ji-uk then visited Son Hae-young’s mom Lee Eun-ok (Yoon Bok-in) who suffers from dementia and does not remember her daughter. Kim Ji-uk told Lee Eun-ok that he had already fallen for Son Hae-young but she was not taking any hints, and for a moment, Lee Eun-ok remembered her daughter.
Meanwhile, Nam Ja-yeon met Bok Gyu-hyun to inform that she did not want him to complete his community service and that she withdrew the lawsuit against him. This was to protect Son Hae-young as she was an employee at Bok Gyu-hyun’s company. However, Bok Gyu-hyun apologized for hiding his identity and also said that he would complete his service. He added that he was there as a perpetrator and not Son Hae-young’s boss.
At that moment, Nam Ja-yeon saw her abusive father coming out of the police station, which made her anxious. She held Bok Gyu-hyun's hand, asking him to run as fast as he could. As they reached a close street, Nam Ja-yeon was shivering out of fear. Without asking her any questions, Bok Gyu-hyun hummed the song playing in the restaurant, distracting Nam Ja-yeon from the previous incident.
He also sang the next song as Nam Ja-yeon said it was her comfort song, making her realize that Bok Gyu-hyun did not have any ill intentions after all. She parted ways with him, saying that she did not want to see him again.
Later, a co-worker suggested he avoid doing the thing that made Son Hae-young angry. After work, he wrote a formal apology letter stating that he would never kiss her again, which made her even more angry. They drove to a furniture store as Son Hae-young wanted to buy Kim Ji-uk a bed and a soft mattress as she realized he slept on a hard floor on the rooftop.
Kim Ji-uk stated he liked a mattress, but it was out of his budget. Son Hae-young insisted that she would buy it for him and that no matter what he goes through during the day, he should sleep peacefully like a king at night. Kim Ji-uk replied that no matter how much she would beat around the bush, he knew that he liked her too.
Kim Ji-uk continued to flirt with Son Hae-young during dinner but she denied that she confessed her feelings. As they reached home, Son Hae-young asked him to wait for her and said that she would date him once she had her promotion and work sorted out. She explained that after her kiss, she would talk about this but couldn't.
By the end of episode 8 of No Gain No Love, Ahn Woo-jae found out Son Hae-young and Kim Ji-uk’s marriage was fake and made a ridiculous request, asking her to date him again. Nam Ja-yeon also learned that half of the hate comments she received were written by Yeo Ha-jun instead of Bok Gyu-hyun, starting from the comment that made her sue Bok Gyu-hyun.
No Gain No Love episode 8 ended with Bok Gyu-hyun barging into Kim Ji-uk's rooftop room, asking him if he was his half-brother Bok Ji-uk. Before Bok Gyu-hyun could complete his words, Son Hae-young, who was shocked to hear this, asked Kim Ji-uk if he was Bok Gi-ho's son born out of wedlock.
