No Gain No Love, starring Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, and Han Ji-hyun, aired episodes 9 and 10 on tvN and Prime Video on September 23 and 24, 2024 respectively. Episode 9 of No Gain No Love commenced with Bok Gyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) and Yeo Ha-jun (Lee You-jin) at the orphanage for their community service.
Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) also visited the orphanage to check on Bok Gyu-hyun. While talking to Bok Gyu-hyun, she accidentally asked him if he liked her and he admitted it. However, she pointed out that just like in her novels, even when the two main characters like each other, they can't be together.
Bok Gyu-hyun followed her outside the orphanage as he believed that she liked him. On the way, the two bumped into Yeo Ha-jun, and that is when he found out that Nam Ja-yeon was the writer Yeon Bo-ra.

Bok Gyu-hyun dropped Nam Ja-yeon at Son Hae-young's (Shin Min-ah) house and he received a call that revealed that Kim Ji-uk (Kim Young-dae) was Bok Gi-ho's (Choi Jin-ho) out-of-wedlock child. Bok Gyu-hyun barged into Son Hae-young's house, and in the heat of the moment, he fired not only Kim Ji-uk but also Son Hae-young, who had no idea about their family situation.
In the latest developments of No Gain No Love, Son Hae-young found out the shocking truth about Kim Ji-uk: he had spent some time at her mother's foster house. He also knew her throughout their fake marriage and beyond that but never told her about it.
No Gain No Love ep 9-10 recap: Son Hae-young's fury unleashes as she confronts Bok Gyu-hyun and kicks Kim Ji-uk & Nam Ja-yeon out of the house
In No Gain No Love episode 9, Son Hae-young did not believe she was fired and was firm that they would not fire her given her contributions to the company. However, as Kim Ji-uk and Son Hae-young reached Kkulbee Education, they learned that she was relieved from the position of team leader and that Kim Ji-uk was suspended.
To avoid further loss to Son Hae-young, Kim Ji-uk openly lied to Bok Gyu-hyun in the presence of other employees that they got divorced. The news of their divorce circulated swiftly, leaving everyone in shock, as it had only been a few months since their marriage.
Bok Gyu-hyun called Kim Ji-uk into his office and told him he knew the latter was lying about their divorce. He threatened Kim Ji-uk, telling him to leave the company and the country if he wanted to protect Son Hae-young and his mother. Bok Gyu-hyun later regretted it as he pushed Kim Ji-uk away under pressure from his mother, Seon Jeong-a (Lee Il-hwa).
Meanwhile, Nam Ja-yeon prepared to move out of Son Hae-young’s house as she was worried that her abusive father would return and hurt Son Hae-young. She later met Yeo Ha-jun, who apologized for writing half of the hate comments under her novel because of Bok Gyu-hyun. Later, at home, Nam Ja-yeon saw a mysterious man and was startled as she believed that it was her father. As she went outside, Nam Ja-yeon realized it was Bok Gyu-hyun.
By the end of No Gain No Love episode 9, while returning from her business trip with Kim Ji-uk, Son Hae-young learned that Nam Ja-yeon's father was out of prison on parole. She frantically ran towards her house and saw a man hugging Nam Ja-yeon and thought it was her father; however, it was Bok Gyu-hyun.
In episode 10 of No Gain No Love, Son Hae-young found out that Bok Gyu-hyun was the anti-fan Nam Ja-yeon filed a lawsuit against and that he also had romantic feelings for her. Son Hae-young was extremely furious about how bad the situation must be for Nam Ja-yeon to sue Bok Gyu-hyun and tried to hit him with an umbrella. At the same time, Nam Ja-yeon also confessed that she liked him back but it was too late as Kim Ji-uk took the hit instead.
Son Hae-young was even angrier as she was worried about her and did not approve of Bok Gyu-hyun dating her. Later, Son Hae-young told Nam Ja-yeon that she was too good for Bok Gyu-hyun. However, Nam Ja-yeon replied that it was not possible for them to date even if Son Hae-young approved.
The next morning, Bok Gyu-hyun joined the three for breakfast and accidentally revealed that Nam Ja-yeon was moving out while Kim Ji-uk would also leave the country to settle abroad. Son Hae-young told them if they genuinely wanted to leave, they should go to the place at that very moment. As she is known for her hot temper and holding grudges against others, Nam Ja-yeon and Kim Ji-uk left the place immediately.
Later, in No Gain No Love episode 10, Kim Ji-uk had made up his mind to not leave but he wanted to know what Son Hae-young thought about it. She acted nonchalant, saying she would not stop him if he had no choice but to leave.
It seemed like Kim Ji-uk left but he returned to find her crying and cursing him. This time, Son Hae-young lost her temper and reminded him that his mother never loved him. But, he was ready to leave to protect his mother and keep his promise to his grandmother.
Kim Ji-uk also told Son Hae-young that she never admitted to loving him and then confessed that he loved her. They both then shared a kiss, confirming he was not leaving. On the other hand, Nam Ja-yeon visited Kkulbee Education with Bok Gyu-hyun to collect references for her novel.
They reenacted a scene from the web novel in his office and laughed at each other's acting. Bok Gyu-hyun said that he read in the comments that the readers wanted the characters to kiss after that scene. They ended up kissing even though that part was not in the novel. Nam Ja-yeon then told him they could not be together and that it was their first and last date.
By the end of episode 10 of No Gain No Love, Son Hae-young found out that Kim Ji-uk lived for some time at her house when her mother ran the foster home. She asked Kim Ji-uk to get lost as he made her sick. What happens next on No Gain No Love is yet to be seen.
