During her recent JTBC Newsroom interview, which marked her first solo appearance on the platform, Rosé of BLACKPINK shared more behind-the-scenes details about her collaboration with Bruno Mars on the hit track APT.

Her partnership with Bruno Mars took shape after she left YG Entertainment in September 2024 and signed with Warner Music Group's Atlantic Records. Through her new label, which also hosts Bruno Mars, Rosé proposed the collaboration and sent him three demo tracks.

In her interview, the star revealed that out of the three demos, APT. was initially not meant to be sent to Bruno. Despite her team’s advice, she trusted her instincts and slipped the track to him anyway. To her delight, Bruno ultimately chose APT. to work on, validating her confidence in the song.
