Back in 1989, Solomon is set to overthrow Abe-san and establish his new golf club company on that piece of property. A coworker visits him and informs him that Yoshii-san, Solomon's prospective business partner, has a message for him. He gives him photos of Naomi, who appears to be in relation with another man.
Solomon attempts to dismiss it as an old boyfriend of Naomi's, but the man maintains that the photos were shot a few days back. Solomon goes to Naomi's office and follows her when she leaves for work. He sees her entering a restaurant and sitting with another man and his family, sharing a meal. Naomi sees Solomon standing at the restaurant but doesn't react.

Later, she drops by his house and Solomon calmly confronts her. Naomi tells him that she is betrothed to the other man as both their families decided on their wedding when they were kids. Solomon ends his relationship with Naomi right there and tells her to call on Abe-san's loan. Naomi refuses and leaves after she tells him that she will do everything to stop him.

Later on, Sunja is seen buying a new wallet for Kato after she sees his shabby wallet at the restaurant (at the beginning of the episode).
