BLACKPINK set to make a comeback in 2025
To fans' relief, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk has confirmed BLACKPINK's return in 2025. In a video shared on the official YouTube channel of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun-suk revealed that the iconic girl group would be making their highly-awaited comeback, along with a world tour, in 2025.
The four-member group will be making a return after three years, with their last release being Pink Venom and Shut Down from their second studio album, Born Pink, released in September 2022.
Apart from the YouTube success, Kill This Love gained international and domestic achievements. It peaked at number two on the Korean Gaon Digital Chart and became the group's first top-50 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, becoming the highest-charting song by a female K-pop act on both charts.
Last year, Ddu-Ddu-Du achieved similar success as its sibling, Kill This Love. In 2023, the song became the first and only music video by a K-pop group to surpass 2 billion views on YouTube.
