Queen Woo season 1 part 2 released episodes 5 to 8 on September 2, 2024. The first season, divided into two parts, ends with a complete story and will not be renewed. The fifth episode started with a flashback to three years earlier, showing King Nam-mu receiving medical attention from Mu-gol for an injury.

In the present scenario, Queen Woo-hee (Jeon Jong-seo) and her group were on the run. As explained in part 1, she had 24 hours to marry one of Nam-mu's brothers to safeguard her position as the queen and protect her kingdom.

Queen Woo part 2 also unraveled the dark past of King Nam-mu's Prime Minister, Eul Pa-so, and how he planned the Go kingdom's demise. He maintained appearances as the king's right arm and earned Queen Woo-hee's trust by playing chess with her every day, only to exact revenge from the king for his family's sufferings.

In the present scenario, Eul Pa-so continued his investigation into the king's death and hoped Woo-hee chooses to marry Bal-ki (Lee Soo-hyuk), Nam-mu's brother. So that Bal-ki and the other princes would fight amongst themselves and destroy their kingdom.

Queen Woo joined her soldiers in the fight as the drama came to an end. She wielded the bronze sword that she got remade from the blacksmith from Part 1. By the scene's cinematography, it can be assumed that she won the battle based on the first episode's flashback of the conflict.

Episode 5 of Queen Woo shows Woo-hee traveling to Baeuitu while being chased by Bal-ki's mercenaries

Queen Woo episode 5 (Part 2) showed Eul Pa-so resuming his investigation into the King's death back at the palace. Simultaneously, a maid dispatched a message bird outside the castle. On the other side, Woo-do doubted if they could trust Eul Pa-so and if his loyalty lies with the Queen. Later, Song-woo pointed the head physician in Woo-soon's direction as the royal probe got deeper.

Meanwhile, Eul Pa-so and the guards re-examined Woo-soon's chamber and discovered the bottle containing the elixir potion she used to mix in King Nam-mu's food before he died. They re-checked Sa-bi's (the shaman) shrine because the evidence led to her, discovering additional herbs that were used to create the elixir.

Despite being asked by Eul Pa-so, Sa-bi declined to reveal the person to whom she had given the potion. When Eul Pa-so took her away for more questioning, some eunuchs ambushed them en route, which led to Sa-bi's death. Eul Pa-so assumed that whoever assassinated King Nam-mu, is after his life as well.

Meanwhile, Woo-hee was on her way to the fourth prince's palace in Baeuitu while still being chased by The White Tigers (mercenaries sent by Prince Bal-ki). As she got closer to Baeuitu, Woo-hee recalled how Nam-mu had once explained to her the rock fortress trap of Baeuitu set by the former ruler. Notably, Eul Pa-so's grandfather devised the fortress trap to aid the former king in shielding the area.

She gave Mu-gol instructions to cut the ropes securing the boulders so that the mercenaries get trapped. Episode 5 wrapped up as Bal-ro and his soldiers getting hit by the boulders and dying immediately.

Episode 6 reveals Eul Pa-so's dark past and the history of his family's torment by the hand of King Nam-mu's father

Queen Woo episode 6 took viewers to Jwamulchon, 28 years ago, where a young Eul Pa-so uncovered his grandfather's decomposing body in the family library. Little Eul Pa-so heard his father telling him about the family's past and how Tae-jo, the previous king, assassinated his grandfather because he felt threatened by the Eul family.

This is why Prime Minister Eul Pa-so wanted to destroy Nam-mu's kingdom to avenge his family's sufferings and his grandfather's death. Later, Eul Pa-so shifted his grandfather's mummified body to the underground chambers of the Royal Palace, where he had been conspiring for over 6 years.

Yeon-bi readied (one of the five clans) her troops to take over the throne. Simultaneously, Prince Bal-ki disposed of his wife's body in his palace pool and devised a plan to get hold of Woo-hee and marry her so that he could become the next king. Meanwhile, as Woo-hee and her group were running away from the assassins, her sister, Woo-soon left behind trails for the assassins.

Woo-hee finally reached the Baeuitu palace of the fourth prince, Yeon-woo, who clearly had a crush on the queen. With just a smile, Woo-hee won the prince and he agreed to marry her, however, he was worried about going against his elder brother, Bal-ki, who was known for his barbaric nature.

Woo-soon proved to be worse than the enemies as she planned to open the Baeuitu palace gates so that The White Tigers could kill the queen.

Episode 7 brings Queen Woo-hee and Woo-soon face to face with the death of one sister

At the Baeuitu palace, Woo-soon confessed to Woo-hee about accidentally killing the king. She claimed that as the elder sister, she was destined to be the rightful queen of the Go empire and was supposed to marry the banished crown prince. However, after Nam-mu was made the king, she felt wronged as Nam-mu chose Woo-hee to be her queen.

Woo-hee and Woo-soon both drew their bows after this confrontation. However, Woo-soon ended up getting killed by Woo-hee, who was still processing the betrayal from her own sister. Meanwhile, Bal-ki donned his ornate robes and began plotting with Chang-heon, his loyal man. Bal-ki decided to go to the Royal Palace, capture the queen by himself, and marry her.

Woo-so and Woo-do in the palace worried about the queen coming back. They threatened Eul Pa-so with their swords about the queen's whereabouts. Eul Pa-so calmly told them that the Queen was at Prince Yeon-woo's stronghold.

Bal-ki left the palace and went to the Crown Prince to ask for assistance. Bal-ki's troops were killed by the Crown Prince for breaking into his hideout. However, when Bal-ki told him about King Nam-mu's death, the Crown Prince was ecstatic and decided to take back the throne.

Eul Pa-so convened a conference at the Royal Palace with a select group of allies to discuss tactics and attempt to avert war after Woo-hee returned to the Royal Palace with the fourth Prince.

Queen Woo orders Mo-chi to imprison Prince Yeon-woo and Yeon-jin in a chamber so that the prince wouldn't change his mind about marrying her. Later, at the royal conference, Woo-hee took the King's place on the throne as the episode came to a close.

Episode 8 ends with the victory of Woo-hee as she becomes the Queen of the Go dynasty again

Episode 8 of Queen Woo opened with a flashback to a scene from 18 years ago when King Go Nam-mu slit his elder brother's nose—the Crown Prince—to make an example of what happens to traitors.

The episode shifted back to the present where Woo-hee discussed the next strategy to safeguard her kingdom. In the meeting, Mo-chi pledged his life to the queen and refused to accept his payment for driving her safely back to the Royal Palace. Woo-hee happily asked Mo-chi to come back to the kingdom and rejoin the Wangdang, which he happily accepted.

At the meeting, Woo-hee declared to head to the battlefront to protect her kingdom, however, Eul Pa-so was unsure if they would prevail since the odds were stacked against them. Mo-gul suggested Woo-hee to win back the trust of the five clans to win a quick victory. She agreed and sent the traditional five bronze swords to each clan to ask for their loyalty to her.

Woo-hee informed the Jwa clan about their daughter’s death at the hands of her husband, Bal-ki. She won the support of the Jwa Family and also the loyalty of the Eastern families. Meanwhile, Prince Bal-ki reinforced his troops with the support of the Hae clan and the warriors' troops. Despite his will, the fifth prince, Go Gye-su, gave his support to the queen to honor his brother, Nam-mu's memories.

The episode ended with Queen Woo standing at a bloodied battleground holding her bronze sword which she repaired in episode 1, suggesting that she had won the war.
