RUN JIN episode 11 recap and highlights: BTS' Jin's comedic take on horror adventure is a must-watch

The eleventh episode of BTS' Jin’s RUN JIN was released on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, via the official YouTube channel of BANGTAN TV. For the latest episode, Kim Seokjin took up a horror challenge on ARMY's demand. The episode, titled I Met a Ghost for Real, has a runtime of a little over 25 minutes. Unlike previous episodes, there was no guest appearance on this episode.

The latest episode's theme was set in the Joseon period, where BTS' Jin was stuck owing to a curse. If Jin was to return to reality, he had to break the curse by finding five straw dolls in this horror-themed episode of RUN JIN. This haunted episode was a thrill ride, full of both hilarious and terrifying moments.

RUN JIN episode 11: BTS' Jin confronts ghosts to break the curse and return to reality

Wearing clothes from the Joseon era, Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, walked into the show. The Korean Folk Village was selected as the venue for this episode.

At the outset of this episode, BTS' Jin was introduced to his bodyguard, who presented him with a scroll. According to the instructions in the scroll, the idol was required to find 5 straw dolls, while navigating the man-eating ghosts. Jin also had to abstain from looking back, no matter what happened.

Jin started his journey along the eerie path. Soon, a female ghost appeared before him. Initially, Jin was frightened by the ghost, however, he quickly observed that the ghost was weeping, prompting him to ask why. He even pointed out the historical inaccuracy of the tissue box she was holding and added a humorous comment about how tissue boxes could exist during the Joseon Dynasty.

The female ghost then ordered Jin to engage in a game that they called 'blow the tissue.' In this game, the individual who holds the tissue in the air for the longest duration shall win. Jin, despite being defeated in the first round, prevailed in the second round. Jin told the ghost to pick up the tissues after her loss in the game as he moved on to the next spot.

Jin encountered yet another ghost, the Grim Reaper, as he went through the next door. She went up to him and told him to make a portrait of her on the whiteboard. With a funny sketch of the ghost, Jin showed drawing skills. After he drew the portrait, Jin got access to the next level.

Following that, BTS' Jin met a different ghost who challenged him to a game of Twister. In this game, the player's opponent had to stay balanced while using their hands and legs to step on colored circles and follow the instructions given to them by another player.

The moment became a highlight as the ghost was defeated by Jin's quick wit and determined performance in this game. After that, the ghost gave the Awake singer a piece of paper with clues on how to find straw dolls.

Then, BTS' Jin arrives at the den of human-eating ghosts, the final destination on his quest to find 5 straw dolls and break the curse. The five clues he possessed were: Black fan, Under the red light, Help, When you hear chopping, and Exit. Following these five hints, Jin had to find the dolls.

Jin was scared by the different kinds of ghosts that were present in every spot. As the singer stepped into the first room, he saw a gory scene with blood all over the place. This setup, together with lots of terrifying sounds, frightened him. However, he urged the bodyguard to stay with him.

As he looked for straw dolls, a starving ghost suddenly came out from behind to eat his leg, which terrified him. Therefore, he quickly picked up the doll and rushed to the next spot.

Another episode highlight was one of those ghosts following Seokjin like another bodyguard, as he cautiously made his way to the next location after finding the first doll. Jin got scared as he saw ghosts popping out from the walls and ceiling.

On entering the next room, he noticed a lady ghost lurking around the dead body. He looked around and soon spotted another straw doll nearby. As they continued on, BTS's Jin overheard screams for "HELP!" and knew it was his next clue. He followed the sound and found the fourth doll inside the coffin.

He heard the disturbing sound of chopping, which was the fourth clue. Jin found the doll nearby as he followed the ghostly figure of the old woman who was chopping brutally.

Eventually, BTS' Jin located his final clue, Exit. He found all of the dolls and was safely returned to 2024. After finishing his scary escapades, the singer was drenched in sweat. Another short clip was also shown of the actors playing the role of ghosts, seemingly talking about their encounter with the BTS member.

As shown in the last clip, BTS' Jin’s RUN JIN will be on a short break. Therefore, new episodes of the vlog series won’t come out from next Tuesday until further updates from the Epiphany singer.
