Netflix has set the internet abuzz with the announcement of Single's Inferno season 4, which will premiere on January 14, 2025. The Korean reality dating series combines romance, rivalry, and survival as contestants strive to find love on a deserted island. The official trailer, released on December 17, 2024, shows new participants lock horns with one another to win a ticket to paradise with their date.

Despite its popularity, the announcement has divided the internet. While many are excited about another season, others remain skeptical, expressing concerns over repetitive formats and the show's focus on superficial traits. One fan wrote wishing that the new season wouldn't bring contestants like Gwan-hee from season 3.

"I'm scared they're gonna cast like 3 new versions of Gwan-hee and this season will be even worse. Please don't flop"

Netizens also expressed their excitement over the newly released trailer.

"Why are you doing this me? Why do we have to wait that long? Its been 1 year since the previous season. I cant wait any longer," one fan said.
"I can't wait to see ALL the couples break up once the season ends and the hype is gone and then see them try to be actor's," another fan wrote.
"The cast seem less conservative unlike the cast of the previous seasons," one other fan added.

Others joked about the repetitive plot and said that they couldn't wait to share their views on the show like a panel judge.

"In my opinion 2nd season of Singles inferno was the best . Season by season they're moving towards the nudity more than sincerity the more drama more viewers. It became westernized," one fan reacted.
"Can't wait to watch another season where 80% of the guys are hung up on one girl while the rest of the women are paid dust LET'S GO," another fan commented.
"Ready to post my thoughts like i’m part of the panel," one other fan added.

More about Single's Inferno season 4, plot, and overview of previous seasons

The newly released trailer of Single's Inferno season 4 teases an installment filled with sizzling chemistry, cutthroat competition, and unexpected twists. The teaser opens with the ominous narration, "Love is a cruel game of survival," and quickly transitions to scenes of intense physical challenges, flirtatious moments, and fiery confrontations among the new cast.

Contestants will vie for a chance to escape the barren Inferno and find luxury and romance in Paradise, a lavish resort setting. The producers hinted at new rules to keep viewers on edge while maintaining the series' signature elements: strategic matchmaking and emotionally charged love triangles.

A look back at previous seasons:

Since its debut in 2021, Single's Inferno has grown from a Korean dating show into a globally recognized series.

  • Single's Inferno season 1 introduced the basic premise, where participants struggled to pair up and survive both emotional challenges and the harsh island environment. It quickly became the first Korean unscripted series to break into Netflix's Global Top 10 (Non-English) list due to the relatable drama and contestants like Song Ji-a and Cha Hyun-seung.
  • Single's Inferno season 2 upped the stakes with new contestants and more intense challenges, staying in the Top 10 for four consecutive weeks. Stars like Kim Jin-young (Dex) and Shin Seul-ki gained massive social media followings, cementing their post-show celebrity status.
  • Single's Inferno season 3, released in December 2023, took risks by introducing rule changes, which divided viewers but kept them glued to the screen. The season held its spot in the Top 10 in 31 countries for five weeks, while contestants like Yun Ha-jeong and Choi Hye-seon soared to fame.

Fans eagerly speculated about the new cast of Single's Inferno, whose identities remain a mystery. The promotional poster showed participants enjoying the sea, but their faces were obscured to heighten curiosity.

Besides entertainment, Single's Inferno has catapulted contestants into global stardom over three seasons. For example, season 3 participant Choi Hye-seon's Instagram following skyrocketed from 2,000 to over 1.6 million, as per Netflix. Lee Jin-Seok's followers grew from 900 followers to over 566K, according to Dexerto. The rest of the season 3 casts faced a similar hike in their popularity.

Single's Inferno season 4 will be available exclusively on Netflix and will be released on January 14, 2025.
