Episode 19 of Seoul Busters opens with Jeong Jeong-hwan being rushed to the hospital. The squad members anxiously gather one by one upon hearing the news. Jeon Jeong-hwan (Seo Hyun-woo) undergoes surgery, which is successful but leaves him in critical condition. Doctors decide to monitor him closely.

Devastated, the squad becomes even more determined to catch the culprit who attacked Jeong-hwan. Captain Dongbang Yu-bin (Kim Dong-wook) orders them to investigate the crime scene. However, Mu Jung-ryeok (Park Ji-hwan) suspects the scammer gang Jeong-hwan previously busted. Despite Yu-bin’s warning about a lack of evidence, Jung-ryeok starts tracking down the gang’s hideout.

Yu-bin doubts the suspect from the previous case is guilty. When Professor Sim visits, Yu-bin questions him about Junho's guilt. Sim confidently cites his evidence, prompting Yu-bin to throw an apple at him, which he catches with his left hand.

Yu-bin then confronts Han Junho at the precinct, interrogating him about his involvement in both murders. Junho denies it and tries to attack, but officers restrain him. Yu-bin notices Junho is right-handed, which makes him reconsider, as the previous murderer was believed to be left-handed.

Jung-ryeok on the other hand, discovers that Jeong-hwan’s wife was scammed by the gang, losing all their money. Fueled by anger, he locates the gang’s hideout and confronts them. Using his boxing skills, he defeats the gang members.

The gang leader admits to scamming Jeong-hwan's wife but denies stabbing Jeong-hwan. Jung-ryeok warns him to return the money, and the gang leader agrees.

Meanwhile in Seoul Busters, Yu-bin finds out Jeong-hwan has visited a temple on the day of the attack and visits the temple. At the temple, he learns Jeong-hwan has viewed CCTV footage that captured the road outside. Yu-bin tries to access the footage but learns that some robbers has cut the camera’s wire shortly after Jeong-hwan has been stabbed.

He then visits the crime scene and finds a toy dart gun belonging to Jeong-hwan's kids. He also notices a dirt stuck on a nearby board with the word "Hyun." Next, visiting the home of the previous murder victim, he also discovers bloodstains on a cat tower and sends them for forensic analysis.

The next day, the squad notices signs of a fight on Jung-ryeok's face. Seo Min-seo (Park Se-wan) and Jung Tan-sik (Lee Seung-woo) ask him about it, but he remains silent. Just then, Yu-bin enters and tells the squad he believes the person who has attacked Jeong-hwan also has committed the previous murder. Although he lacks concrete proof, he asks the team to trust him.

Min-seo asks Professor Sim for a ride to the subway and mentions Yu-bin’s suspicion that the same person is behind both the murder and Jeong-hwan's attack. She also says she’s taking new evidence to the forensic office for analysis. Surprised, Sim offers her a drink.

Later, Yu-bin receives a call from forensics confirming a bloodstain match with his suspect, and he sees that Professor Sim Hyunwoo's name is involved in the analysis.

The episode cuts to Min-seo, who has fallen asleep in Sim's car. Sim mutters that she wasn’t part of his plan but that things have changed. The episode 19 of Seoul Busters ends on this tense note.

Episode 20 and the final episode of Seoul Busters, begins with Min-seo waking up just as Sim tries to harm her. Sim, frustrated, ends up confessing his crimes. The episode then reveals that Min-seo has deliberately gotten into Sim's car and has pretended to be unconscious, as part of a trap the squad has set up.

The scene shifts to 48 hours earlier, where Yu-bin explains his suspicions about Sim to the team, connecting him to Jae-in's murder. He devises a plan to catch Sim and secure a confession.

Tan-sik is assigned to check for cat scratches on Sim, while Jung-ryeok is tasked with finding a DNA sample and stolen jewelry from victims at Sim’s apartment. Yu-bin explains his deduction about Jeong-hwan calling Sim after seeing Sim’s car in the CCTV footage, arranging to meet, following which he has been stabbed.

Tan-sik soon finds scratch marks on Sim’s hand. Jung-ryeok also retrieves a hair sample and the stolen jewelry from Sim’s apartment. With this evidence, Min-seo is chosen to engage with Sim to get a confession, while Jung-ryeok and Tan-sik follow her. She hides a camera in her bag charm, recording everything.

Realizing he’s cornered, Sim pulls a gun on Min-seo, but she sprays him with pepper spray and runs. Sim chases her, only to run into a trap set by the squad, who swiftly arrest him.

The next day, Jeong-hwan returns to the precinct, delighting the squad. He announces he’ll rejoin them next week. Yu-bin then takes the team out for a celebratory meal.

Following this, Yu-bin visits Sim in jail to ask why he killed Jae-in. Sim admits he was jealous of Yu-bin, who had everything he lacked. He murdered Jae-in to strip Yu-bin of something precious and secure a position at the headquarter of police Yu-bin was set to inherit. When Yu-bin returned and talked about Jae-in’s dying message—"friend"—Sim decided to kill again and frame Han Junho. He confesses that he met Jeong-hwan intending to kill him after Jeong-hwan questioned him about being at the crime scene.

In the following scenes of Seoul Busters, the squad receives an award from the chief and a bonus for a team meal. They head to a barbecue restaurant, enjoying their meal until a new case arises.

The scene humorously mirrors their previous failed stakeout that got them transferred. Despite initial hiccups, including Min-seo and Jeong-hwan getting separated on a ropeway, and Tan-sik being recognized by the criminal, they ultimately catch the suspect.

Back at the precinct, Yu-bin informs them of their upcoming move to a new station. He then reveals he’s transferring to headquarters, and a new captain will lead the squad. While excited about the precinct upgrade, the team is saddened by Yu-bin’s departure. As Yu-bin packs, Min-seo gives him a framed squad photo from earlier, as a parting gift. The squad heads out to his farewell party for their Captain.

The penultimate scene of Seoul Busters takes a one-year leap, showing Yu-bin in his new office. He receives a message and heads to meet with the commissioner, who assigns him a special case, suggesting he create a specialized team. Yu-bin, however, requests a violent crimes unit.

In the final scene, Tan-sik, Min-seo, Jeong-hwan, and Jung-ryeok are giving a lecture at an elementary school when Min-seo’s phone rings. It’s a call from Yu-bin.
