Episode 9 of Seoul Busters opened with a group of school students touring the precinct. The squad noticed Jang Tan-sik (Lee Seung-woo) staying close to one particular student. Jeong Jeong-hwan (Seo Hyun-woo) asked Seo Min-seo (Park Se-wan) about it, and she explained that the student, Beom-joon, looked up to Tan-sik.

When the students left, Beom-joon gave Tan-sik a pair of brightly colored socks from his father. Although Tan-sik was touched, he hesitated at the vibrant colors but hid his discomfort. He then advised Beom-joon to eat healthy food instead of instant noodles, which shocked the boy.

Dongbang Yu-bin (Kim Dong-wook), overhearing, asked how Tan-sik knew Beom-joon ate ramen. Tan-sik explained that he could smell it on him. Intrigued, Yu-bin asks Tan-sik to guess his own lunch. After sniffing, Tan-sik said he smelled nothing, prompting Yu-bin to praise him and reveal he hadn’t eaten yet. Elated, Tan-sik gifted him the socks.

The scene of Seoul Busters shifted when the squad was called to investigate the murder of Beom-joon’s father, Yoon Hae-sik, who was bludgeoned to death. Tan-sik, devastated by the loss, became even more driven to find the killer. Yu-bin, visualizing the crime, quickly with the help of the team discovered the murder weapon—a brick from a nearby construction site.

Though Mu Jung-ryeok (Park Ji-hwan) and Jeong Jeong-hwan suspected a mugging, Yu-bin dismissed this, noting the brutality of the crime. Tan-sik, more determined than ever, vowed to catch the killer, with the squad supporting him.

Meanwhile, in Seoul Busters, Yu-bin was out of stock of his favorite chocolate and was distracted. While investigating, the team learned that Yoon Hae-sik was frequently in conflicts with neighbors, but it became clear that he was confronting people involved in illegal activities rather than harassing them. Tan-sik defended Hae-sik’s actions, but a frustrated Yu-bin dismissed his argument, though the squad quietly agreed with Tan-sik’s perspective.

Hitting a dead end, Tan-sik recalled moments with Yoon Hae-sik taking care of him and received a selfie of Yoon Hae-sik taken on the day of his death. Tan-sik identified the location in the background, leading the team to a breakthrough. CCTV footage showed Yoon Hae-sik getting into a fight with someone outside a club, though the person’s face is obscured. Yu-bin ordered the footage to be enhanced.

Meanwhile, in this episode of Seoul Busters, a witness reported being assaulted by a man who tried to force her into his car on the day of Hae-sik's murder. Yoon Hae-sik had intervened, saving her. As the witness left, she mentioned to Jeong-hwan that Tan-sik resembled the heir to the Tan Restaurant chain, sparking curiosity. Jeong-hwan supported Tan-sik, much to the squad, including Tan-sik's surprise.

Once the footage was enhanced, the squad identified the suspect’s car as belonging to Nam Jung-hyun, a person of interest from a previous arson case. Episode 9 ended with Seo Min-seo and Tan-sik heading to the club to gather more information.

Episode 10 of Seoul Busters started with Yu-bin still frustrated about being unable to buy his favorite Swiss chocolate. Seo Min-seo and Tan-sik retrieved more CCTV footage from the club, confirming Nam Jung-hyun’s presence on the night of the murder. However, as the footage was obtained illegally, they couldn't arrest him yet.

Instead, they detained a drug dealer captured in the footage, who revealed that Nam Jung-hyun had bought drugs from him, leading to Nam Jung-hyun's arrest. During interrogation, Nam admitted to fighting with Yoon Hae-sik but refused to say more.

Meanwhile, Yu-bin got distracted when he saw a child at the precinct with the chocolate he had been craving. In a humorous moment, Min-seo stole the chocolate and gave it to Yu-bin, who then happily resumed the interrogation.

In the next scene of Seoul Busters, Nam Jung-hyun got into a physical altercation with Tan-sik. Yu-bin sent Tan-sik to forensics to examine traces of Nam Jung-hyun’s jacket under Tan-sik’s nails. This resulted in comedic moments typical of the show’s style.

The jacket fibers matched those found under Yoon Hae-sik’s nails, confirming Nam Jung-hyun’s involvement. Further investigation revealed drugs in Nam Jung-hyun’s home, solidifying the case. As the team rushed to arrest him before he could flee by plane, Yu-bin deduced the full murder scenario. Nam Jung-hyun, under the influence of drugs, attacked the witness, and after Yoon Hae-sik intervened, he followed and killed him with the brick.

However, the squad’s pursuit was comically delayed when their police car got a flat tire. Tan-sik borrowed a sports car from a friend and sped off to intercept Nam Jung-hyun. Seeing the squad, Nam Jung-hyun tried to flee again, with Tan-sik in pursuit.

The rest of the team was stuck, unable to get out of the cramped passenger seats of the sports car. After a rough fight, Tan-sik was beaten up by Nam Jung-hyun. He recalled the encouraging words from his father, Beom-joon, and Yu-bin. Drawing strength from their support, Tan-sik finally overpowered Jung-hyun and arrested him, while wearing the socks gifted by Beom-joon.

In the aftermath, Beom-joon thanked Tan-sik for catching the killer and asked why he became a police officer. Tan-sik revealed that his father was also in law enforcement.

Episode 10 of Seoul Busters, ended with Jeong-hwan dining with his wife at a Tan Restaurant, where he spotted a family photo and wondered if the young boy in the picture was Tan-sik.

Episodes 11 and 12 of Seoul Busters will be released on Disney+ at 12:30 PM IST and 4:00 PM KST on October 9, 2024.
