Episode 5 of Seoul Busters began with the squad kicking off the investigation with the team dividing into groups to interrogate the possible suspects for the arson. A university friend of Hyo-joo, the daughter of the restaurant owner, tipped about her ex, Nam Jung-hyun ( Yoon Jae-chan ). The friend told about him stalking Hyo-joo and harassing her since being broken up.

As the investigation progressed, Yu-bin (Kim Dong-wook), the new captain, refused to clear Yoon Min-soo, the restaurant owner, from suspicion. Yoon Min-soo is Mu Jung-ryeok's (Park Ji-hwan) beloved coach and Yu-bin's decision created tension between Yu-bin and Mu Jung-ryeok.

Yu-bin went back to the crime scene again and again to picture how the crime must have taken place but had no success. Mu Jung-ryeok on the other hand, was frustrated by the captain suspecting and interrogating his coach. He found an audio tape of Hyo-joo calling the police complaining about Nam Jung-hyun standing outside her apartment. Being sure that the ex of Hyo-joo was the culprit, he arrested him.

However, Nam Jung-hyun, turned out to be innocent with a solid alibi supporting him, even though he admitted to stalking her. This admitting led to Mu Jung-ryeok trying to attack him but Jeong Jeong-hwan (Seo Hyun-woo) stopped him. This incident, however, was not without its coincidences. Nam Jung-hyun's complaint to the chief officer prompted the latter to rush to the squad's station and issue a reprimand.

The situation was defused by the intervention of Seo Min-seo (Park Se-wan), who asserted that the suspect's lack of cooperation led to the escalation of the situation. Nevertheless, the chief officer issued a warning to the squad and departed after summoning Yu-bin, who was absent from the station.

Later in episode 5 of Seoul Busters, Yu-bin learnt from the head of the forensic team Jang Eun-kyeong (Son Eun-seo) about flammable liquid being present in the arson scene. Eun-kyeong suspected this liquid was what started the fire. Hyo-joo on the other hand gained consciousness but the doctor informed the detective squad that due to brain trauma injury she didn't remember anything.

While back in the precinct with the squat, Yu-bin remembered the medal made of stainless steel which was on the wall of the restaurant. Such a big fire would have melted the medal beyond recognition. But the same medal was intact, in the coach's house when they went to interrogate him. His suspicions of Min-soo planning the fire only deepen, creating further conflict with Mu Jung-ryeok.

Meanwhile, squad member Jang Tan-sik (Lee Seung-woo) uncovered evidence of the restaurant's financial struggles and Min-soo’s recent insurance claims. The squad following this lead gathered more evidences backing this up, fueling Yu-bin’s theory.

Episode 5 of Seoul Busters, ended with Jung-ryeok getting a tip regarding this Hyo-joo case. However, episode 6 of Seoul Busters, started with this tip being an attempt of Nam Jung-hyun trying to take revenge on Mu Jung-ryeok by unleashing a gang of hooligans at him. However, showcasing his incredible boxing skills once again Mu Jung-ryeok got out of the situation.

After this in Seoul Busters, Jung-ryeok talked to another coach of the gym he previously used to train by Min-soo. He discovered that Min-soo had sunk money into a cryptocurrency scam, leading to crippling debt, and gathered evidence of this.

He met Min-soo and after talking to him about Hyo-joo's health he gave him some money for her hospital bill. After that Jung-ryeok went back to Yu-bin and submitted the evidence he found on Min-soo. Yu-bin’s further investigation then led him to Ji-woong ( Ando Gyu ), a teenage boxing trainee and part-timer at the restaurant.

Although initially he refused to say anything, Ji-woong instantly confessed the crime in front of the tactful and empathetic tone of Min-seo's questions. He revealed the arson as indeed Min-soo's plan. However, he said that Hyo-joo not being part of the plan suddenly walked in and accidentally fell while trying to stop Ji-woong, injuring her. The Seoul Busters then proceeded with the team to arrest Min-soo and Ji-woong.

Episode 6 of Seoul Busters ended in a lighthearted tone, giving some glimpses of the personal lives of the squad members. This included Jeong Jeong-hwan after searching throughout both episodes for a miniature model of a T-rex for her daughter's birthday present, finally getting and gifting her. Seo Min-seo got a message from her sister saying their ailing father wishes to see her.

In the last scene of Seoul Busters' episode 6, Min-seo was about to take out the group photo they took in Min-soo's restaurant because of her awkward expression it. However, in the series' signature humor, Yu-bin walked in, and realizing the reason, he ordered her to not take it off the wall.

Episodes 7 and 8 of Seoul Busters will be accessible on Disney+ from 12:30 pm IST on September 25, 2024 and 4 pm KST.
