BTS' Jin's fans have been calling out the artist's company, BigHit Music, over the alleged lack of efforts in showcasing the artist's projects. Fans expressed their frustration, feeling that the company should have highlighted more of Jin's works during the promotion of his first solo album, Happy.
During a Japanese show, Jin showcased the waiting/resting lounge of BTS at HYBE Labels and pointed to the album cover of The Astronaut displayed on the wall. This moment caught attention and sparked an uproar regarding the alleged mistreatment by BigHit Music. BTS fans, known as ARMY, were upset and confused as to why Jin did not have a customized cover on the wall instead of a small album cover.
One fan expressed their disappointment, calling The Astronaut cover an afterthought by the company:
"so much for being the "company's favorite" huh. the TA poster seemed like an afterthought too, just plastered there before the shoot"
Fans shared their sentiments on the social media platform.
"LOL. Hybe just put the poster from the album. It’s not even specially made like the others. If I know, they just put it there for the show. Babe, Jin. I will make a whole shrine for you and make customize posters for you," another fan mentioned.
"that crumbled poster which they probably took out from the album and hastily pasted it right before the shoot is just EMBARRASSING !! there is no way that paper poster has been there since forever.. ITS CRUMBLED AF YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE ITS SO EMBARRASSING," a fan stated.
Many fans noticed how other members of BTS got their album covers on a customized canvas while the singer of I'll Be There got a paper cover. A fan pointed out:
"They put canvas for the rest and jin just the Poster from his album and they say he is company favorite. F*** hype."
"This makes my blood boil. It looked like it was just sticked there minutes before the shoot! While showing the other members’ canvas!!!! He didn’t deserve that kind of treatment!!!!" an ARMY exclaimed.
"“The Astronaut” is the first million selling single and all you can do is randomly paste a poster, what a disrespect to a genuinely talented artist who brought millions to your F<€kng company. SHAME ON YOU," another comment read.
Fans expressed their resentment toward the company for allegedly ignoring Jin's projects.
"bruh we all thought it's him being excited for his album turns out he was HURT by seeing how his works not respected by the company I'M STILL MAD," a fan observed.
"i hope they atleast put on this cover of happy album that he MADE by HIMSELF," an X user said.
