On September 20, 2024, Netflix released the official trailer for Squid Game season 2, which will premiere on December 26. The series will bring back Lee Jung-jae as player 456, Seong Gi-hun, and Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man. Several fan theories arose about the man being the Front Man himself, who controlled the Squid Game competition. However, some conjectured that perhaps Gi-hun gets caught by Front Man's troops and that's why he personally might have come to meet Gi-hun.
2) Why is Seong Gi-hun's hair different in the trailer?
At the end of Squid Game 1, Seong Gi-hun wins the game but decides to take revenge on the game organizers and the Front Man. He also changed his hair color to bright red. However, Squid Game 2 revealed Gi-hun with shorter and black hair. Several fans speculated that this could hint at the time gap between the two seasons.
3) Was Gi-hun held captive at the Squid Game pink troop's quarters by the Front Man?

A few of the hypotheses suggested that the person might be the younger brother (Wi Ha-joon) of the Front Man.
