Tarot episode 3: What does Dong-in find in the woman's apartment?
Episode 3 of Tarot begins with Dong-In, played by Dex, an experienced delivery rider finding a tarot card. It symbolizes The High Priestess: Knowledge and Intuition, found in a locker while coming back from work. Initially thinking it’s a prank, he takes it home.
Among his peers, Dong-in is considered hardworking and ambitious. They appreciate him for the amount of deliveries he makes. In a conversation with Ki-hoon, a friend from the delivery company, Dong-in reveals that he plans to, open his own delivery service.
After a bit of pleading from Ki-hoon's side, he promises to let him join the company he plans to open.
Later, Dong-in receives a delivery request and goes to the restaurant where he picks up his orders to deliver them to an apartment. The woman in the apartment offers him a glass of water, which he reluctantly drinks. However, he starts getting delivery requests for the same apartment every day.
The next day, she offers a sweet treat but he pretends to get a call to leave early, without engaging in any conversation with her. He refuses the treat but accepts a tip. Another day, the woman eventually asks him inside, telling him that he resembles her ideal type. When he refuses, she makes advances which makes him leave uncomfortably.
Dong-in decides he will not deliver to the woman again. While picking up his delivery from the restaurant, the girl in the restaurant seems concerned about him and asks if he is well.
Soon, Dong-in receives a call informing him that the lady in the apartment has lodged a false harassment complaint against him. Furious, Dong-In confronts her, and she agrees to withdraw the complaint if he takes out her trash daily.
One day, while throwing out the trash, he sees drops of blood dripping from it. Dong-In checks a trash bag and finds raw meat, which upon further inspection revealed to be human flesh. He informs Ki-hoon, who advises him to go back and gather more evidence since he suspects murder.
Returning to the woman’s apartment, Dong-In finds the door unlocked and the place filled with blood, flesh, and a foul smell. He encounters a woman with a different body type but realizes it's the same woman, who has mutilated herself to appear thin for him.
Dong-In tries to escape but gets his foot caught in a trap. This episode of Tarot ends with another delivery person entering the unlocked apartment as the woman asks him to. He comes to deliver dog food and finds Dong-In covered in blood, with cuts, chained like a dog, with his mouth sewn.
The episode concludes on a chilling note as Dong-In gestures for the delivery person to stay silent and uses a tube to pour water on himself. Episode 3 of Tarot takes viewers on a horrifying journey, escalating from eerie encounters to a gruesome and unsettling climax.
