The Auditors episodes 7 and 8 were aired on tvN on July 27 and 28, respectively. K-drama stars Shin Ha-kyun, Lee Jung-ha, and Ji Goo center on a corporate audit team that is hellbent on unearthing the corruption prevalent within JU Construction.
The Auditors episode 7 discovers deeper corruption behind the workplace bullying case. Shin Cha-il (Shin Ha-kyun) and Go Han-soo (Lee Jung-ha) suspect the Technology Development Team's general manager, Lee Ji-hoon, of business espionage. At the end of the episode, Shin Cha-il accuses Lee Ji-hoon of trying to sell the company's AI program for 50 billion won ($36.12 million).
The Auditors episode 8 starts off with Shin Cha-il's accusation against Lee Ji-hoon in front of company President Hwang Se-woong, and his brother, Vice President Hwang Dae-woong (Jin Goo). Eventually, they arrest Lee Ji-hoon as he tries to escape with the AI program codes.

However, the episode ends as an anonymous tipper accuses Hwang Dae-woong (Jin Goo) of having an illegal affair with the audit team's female rookie, Yoon Seo-jin. The Auditors episode 9 will unearth whether the audit team learns that Seo-jin is the niece of Vice President Hwang Dae-woong.
The Auditors episode 7: Shin Cha-il & Han-soo unearth deeper corruption behind the workplace bullying
The Auditors episode 7 opens with Go Han-soo (Lee Jung-ha) arguing with the audit team head, Shin Cha-il (Shin Ha-kyun), over the workplace bullying investigation in JU Construction's Technology Development Team. During their heated discussion, an enraged Han-soo accuses Shin Cha-il of ignoring the case due to the company's president's order.
After the heated debate, Han-soo leaves office and goes home, where he has been sheltering the bullying victim, Yoon-woo, who is also his friend. Meanwhile, during a meeting with the Technology Development Team, the team manager, Lee Ji-hoon, gives a presentation about the JU Construction AI project, J-BIMS.
The AI project estimates a reduction of 160 million won from the company's annual construction project. However, the company vice-president, Hwang Dae-woong (Jin Goo), voices his dissatisfaction as the project would increase employee layoffs.
Meanwhile, Yoon-woo tells Han-soo about a spam mail delivered to the Technology Development Team's junior manager, Mr. Park. Han-soo suspects the spam email must have a connection to why Yoon-woo was being bullied by Mr. Park.
At home, Han-soo hacks into Yoon-woo's office computer and opens the email. He discovers the spam email is a secret link to the dark web. He suspects Mr. Park is trying to leak the J-BIMS project on the dark web and earn 50-55 billion won from it. Han-soo and Yoon-woo decide to go to the office after working hours and hack Mr. Park's computer to get proof.
After reaching the office at night, they both get past the security guards, and Han-soo logs into Mr. Park's computer. They find that the email link contains the J-BIMS project demo uploaded to the dark web. However, Mr. Park gets notified about the computer login and calls security to apprehend the breaches.
The security guards arrive at the office and stop Han-soo and Yoo-woo from leaving. Han-soo calls Shin Cha-il and waits for him to arrive. Meanwhile, Mr. Park, Technology Development Team's Lee Ji-hoon, and Shin Cha-il arrive together. Han-soo declares that he found circumstantial evidence indicating Mr. Park's illegal trading on the dark web.
However, as Han-soo tries to open the email link and show the evidence to Shin Cha-il, the contents disappear. He tells Han-soo that he is barred from investigating this case and apologizes to Lee Ji-hoon and Mr. Park.
Later, it is revealed that Shin Cha-il and Han-soo have been working together, and after the previous heated debate between them, Shin Cha-il instructed Han-soo to covertly investigate. Meanwhile, the company president asks Shin Cha-il to be discreet with his investigation and says that if he cannot prove Lee Ji-hoon and Mr. Park's crimes, the audit team will face consequences.
Shin Cha-il contacts Lee Ji-hoon's former colleagues and learns that he would bully his subordinates through gaslighting. He would politely make them work for longer hours, humiliate them, pressurize them, and more. In Lee Ji-hoon's former office, several employees under him resigned within six months.
The Auditors episode 7 ends by showing Lee Ji-hoon starting the J-BIMS presentation on stage in front of shareholders and journalists. The audit team secretly keeps an eye on everyone to apprehend the broker to whom Lee Ji-hoon is going to sell the project.
The Auditors episode 8: Lee Ji-hoon gets arrested but JU Construction is accused of unfair employment
The Auditors episode 8 opens where the previous episode left off and shows Han-soo turning on the auditorium lights during the J-BIMS project presentation. President Hwang Se-woong demands an explanation from Han-soo for halting the important presentation, and Shin Cha-il steps in. He points to a mysterious man who has been sitting among the journalists, pretending to be a reporter.
President Hwang Se-woong asks Shin Cha-il to explain everything as the company's future rides on this presentation. He explains that the man is not a reporter but a broker with whom Lee Ji-hoon made a deal to illegally sell the J-BIMS project for 50 billion won ($36.12 million). The man refutes all claims and Lee Ji-hoon expresses his anger as well.
Shin Cha-il continues to explain in front of everyone that Lee Ji-hoon must have sensed Mr. Park's working with the audit team, so he plotted to upload the J-BIMS project on the company cloud servers during the presentation. The company cloud server can be easily accessed by everyone.
Shin Cha-il tells President Hwang Se-woong that Lee Ji-hoon secretly gestured to the broker from the stage about the cloud password, which is "5W1H." He then signaled the broker that the audit team was onto them so they must shift to plan B. Lee Ji-hoon tells the president that he will leave as he cannot bear the humiliation anymore.
As Lee Ji-hoon gathers his water sipper and bag, Shin Cha-il stops him and takes away his bag. He asks Lee Ji-hoon about the sipper and reveals that the sipper has a secret USB inside, which shocks everyone. Lee Ji-hoon snatches the sipper and makes a run with it, along with the broker. Vice President Hwang Dae-woong (Jin Goo) tells the guards to catch Lee Ji-hoon.
Shin Cha-il, Han-soo, and the security guards rush to catch Lee Ji-hoon. Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hoon enters the server room and damages everything by throwing coffee at them and ripping off the wires. He then goes to his office cabin, locks it from the inside, and deletes the J-BIMS program from the company's servers.
Eventually, Shin Cha-il breaks the door and Lee Ji-hoon throws away the sipper out of the window, which permanently damages the chip and the last remnant of the project. He gets arrested by the guards and handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, The Auditors episode 8 takes a new turn as an anonymous tipper posts online, accusing JU Construction of unfair employment. The tipper alleges that they weren't hired by the company due to some other candidate's connection with one of the company executives.
The audit teams try to handle the crisis as the news of unfair employment goes viral online and reporters start calling the company employees for interviews. The Auditors episode 8 ends by showing audit team rookie Yoon Seo-jin and Vice President Hwang Dae-woong entering a residential building together, as a mysterious guy clicks their pictures from afar and posts them online.
