Dai revealed that he was focused on his studies and profession and did not want to get into a relationship as he did not want to get hurt. However, after receiving the offer to appear on The Boyfriend, he decided to face this challenge.

Shun, on the other hand, shared that he learned how to communicate with his partner as he was not comfortable expressing his feelings. The two have been dating since the show and are living together.

Kazuto

Kazuto was the most popular man among the participants, with Alan, Ryota, Usak, Ikuo, and Taeheon showing interest in him. He opened up about experiencing a mental breakdown due to the pressure of all the attention he received. However, he was able to find a best friend on the show, which was Alan. He also revealed that he was focusing on his work rather than seeing anyone outside the show.

Usak

Usak followed a particular diet, which created a minor issue on the show, as the cast had to manage their expenses with the earnings from the coffee truck. This created a hilarious moment for the hosts and viewers when Usak brought the chicken breast shake.

When Thelma Aoyama tried the shake, she found it gross, while Chiaki Horan liked its plain taste. Usak also gifted the hosts an illustration featuring all five of them with the logo of The Boyfriend. The Go-Go dancer shared that he was focusing on his career, but whenever he travels abroad, he still searches for someone good.

Taeheon

Taeheon's advice to Shun on the show was a crucial moment in Shun and Dai's relationship. It also garnered attention from both the hosts and viewers. Taeheon revealed that he was also a “princess character” in his 20s. He saw himself in Shun as his behaviors matched the former's reaction to his past relationships. And so the advice came from personal experience.

On the other hand, he witnessed a significant rise in his popularity when he went on five dates after the show. Taeheon also opened up about coming out to his parents and stated that they were supportive of it. Additionally, Taeheon, who had previously been hesitant about dating younger men, shared that he changed after meeting The Boyfriend contestants.

Gensei

Gensei revealed that he had been receiving attention from the US, and this was something that made him realize that it would not be a bad idea to date a foreigner. He also opened up that he felt awkward after finding out that he misunderstood Ryota liking him back.

Although in this commentary episode, Ryota was seen wearing the glass necklace Gensei made, the latter revealed that they were not seeing each other. Gensei also revealed that his embarrassing moment from the show was when his legs could not reach the accelerator during the Go-Kart episode.

Ryota

Ryota shared that after watching The Boyfriend, he realized he was a little insensitive towards Gensei unintentionally. When asked who he would be for a day? Ryota answered with Alan. He stated that he had never experienced what Alan has in his life, and he admired his bright personality.

Ryota also shared that he is now more focused on his modeling career. He does not have a partner but would like to meet someone nice eventually.
