On Monday, October 7, Korean media outlet News 1 reported that South Korea’s President Yoon Suk-yeol mentioned BLACKPINK's Jennie's name during his state visit to the Philippines. The president referred to Jennie as Korea’s soft power, alongside K-dramas and BTS.

During his speech, President Yoon highlighted how the country "conquered the world through soft power" without taking any territory from others. Jennie’s fans went gaga over the recognition she received from Korea’s president. The idol’s admirers flooded the internet with praises for her. Expressing this sentiment, one X user commented:

One of the BLACKPINK's Jennie’s admirers wrote that Jennie is an "Impactful Soloist," while another one claimed that she’s "bigger than her group."

One X user described her as "nation prestige," while another fan referred to Jennie and BTS as faces of South Korea.

“Jennie a nation prestige," an X user stated.
“President crediting her for helping her country in terms of global influence that’s where you know JENNIE is bigger than Blackpink," commented another fan.
“BTS and Jennie are truly the faces of SK," another user on X wrote.

BLACKPINK's Jennie attended 2NE1’s ‘WELCOME BACK’ concert on October 6

On October 6, BLACKPINK's Jennie was spotted at 2NE1’s ‘WELCOME BACK’ concert on day 3. The concert kicked off on October 4 and continued until October 6.

Many other K-pop celebrities were seen at the concert, including Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, BIGBANG’s Daesung and G-Dragon, BOYNEXTDOOR, and New Jeans. After the concert, BLACKPINK’s Jennie clicked pictures with other artists of YG Entertainment that went viral online as fans demanded a YG fan concert.

Besides, Jennie recently appeared on the JBTC’s variety show My Name is Gabriel Season 1. In the show, the K-pop idol lived the life of a farm stay owner, Maria, in Italy.

She hosted the guests of her farm stay, prepared different types of pasta, and also learned how to make pizza. She appeared in episodes 13 and 14 of the series, which can be streamed on Disney+.

Most recently, on October 7, BLACKPINK's Jennie shared a teaser image for her forthcoming single, Mantra. She shared the release details of her solo track scheduled for October 10 at 8 PM EDT and October 11 at 9 AM KST.


In other news, Columbia Records, an American musical label, and Jennie Kim inked a collaboration deal on September 9. She launched her firm, ODDATELIER (OA), in December 2023, and this company reportedly covers all of her solo projects globally.
