On Monday, October 7, Korean media outlet News 1 reported that South Korea’s President Yoon Suk-yeol mentioned BLACKPINK's Jennie's name during his state visit to the Philippines. The president referred to Jennie as Korea’s soft power, alongside K-dramas and BTS.
During his speech, President Yoon highlighted how the country "conquered the world through soft power" without taking any territory from others. On October 6, BLACKPINK's Jennie was spotted at 2NE1’s ‘WELCOME BACK’ concert on day 3. The concert kicked off on October 4 and continued until October 6.
