On December 7, 2024, BTS' Jin reunited with Arashi's Aiba Masaki on the latter's Japanese reality show, Since Those Days. Aiba traveled to Seoul, South Korea, to meet the Grammy-nominated musician at his home base, where they explored the city's landmarks, concluding their journey at HYBE's headquarters.

BTS' Jin tried to ensure that Aiba would feel comfortable filming his show in Seoul. As a courtesy, the BTS idol communicated with Aiba Masaki in Japanese to honor the show host, a gesture that was applauded by both Korean and Japanese viewers.

Meanwhile, as Jin was giving a tour of the HYBE building to Aiba, the latter inquired if the BTS members were close to one another outside the professional lives. In response, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed that the band members are really good friends in real life. He shared that he met BTS' j-hope over four times in the last two weeks and often cooked for him.

"Oh yes, very much. We see each other often. Since Hobi was discharged, I’ve seen him about 3 or 4 times in just 2 weeks. Yes! I even cooked at home. Yes, I made Yeonpotang (seafood soup). Ah, sannakji! It’s really tasty. At first it feels strange, but the more you eat it, the tastier it gets."

Fans were thrilled to learn this insight regarding BTS's personal lives and were inundated by their reactions on social media. One fan highlighted how "cute" it is that the BTS members keep their private lives so guarded in a positive way. One fan wrote:

"I love how we hardly know when they spend time together this is so cute"

The BTS ARMY (fandom's official name) also made light of the fact that although they know that Jin and j-hope (nickname 2seok) hang out so often, they never post pictures online for fans.

"I was hoping 2seok have been able to spend time together but hearing it be true makes me feel so," one fan said.
"Knowing 2seok hang out a bunch :) But also knowing they will never ever post about it or go live together :(" another fan said.
"I am on my knees begging for one singular ot7 picture to get me though till June please seokjin please." another fan wrote.

Other fans hilariously reacted to the Running Wild singer-songwriter discussing and relishing a live octopus dish with Aiba.

"Seokjin cooking for the members. I love my family," one fan said.
"First of all my 2seok. Second of all if there’s one thing I will NEVER eat in my life it’s live octopus idc how tasty it’s supposed to be," another fan shared.
"Lol when I was in Korea I almost fainted when my friends decided to try live octopus it could be the tastiest thing in the world but I’m sorry I can’t," one other fan recalled.

BTS' Jin's packed schedule post-military discharge filled with album release, promotions, global brand deals, and more

Since his military discharge in June 2024, BTS' Jin has been extremely busy, including releasing his solo album Happy, promotions, and representing global luxury brands.

In July 2024, the Running Wild singer-songwriter represented South Korea as a torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. He carried the Olympic Flame past iconic landmarks like the Louvre Museum surrounded by 30 National French Police, being the first Korean musician to achieve this feat.

Following this, on July 7, 2024, Jin became the global ambassador for FRED, the luxury French jewelry house, and in August, he became the global face of Gucci. Additionally, he broke barriers by becoming the first-ever male global ambassador for LANEIGE, a leading Korean skincare brand.

The BTS idol's highly anticipated debut solo album, Happy, was released on November 15, 2024. The six-track album reflects his introspection on the meaning of happiness, offering fans a glimpse into his artistic growth. Happy features collaborations with international artists, including Gary Barlow of Take That and Toru from One OK Rock.

The album's tracklist includes:

  1. Running Wild (lead track)
  2. I'll Be There (pre-release single)
  3. Another Level
  4. Falling
  5. Heart on the Window (feat. Wendy from Red Velvet)
  6. I Will Come to You

Jin also made a promotional appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he performed live on Running Wild and talked about his close friendship with Coldplay and Chris Martin.

Upon his military discharge on June 12, 2024, Jin re-entered the public eye, participating in BTS’ 2024 Festa celebrations on June 13. He met over 4,000 fans and hugged 1,000 lucky fans.

In other news, he released a new episode of his reality show, RUN JIN, which aired on December 4, 2024, on BANGTANTV (YouTube).
