tvN's upcoming drama When The Stars Gossip, starring Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin, has created a buzz among netizens with the release of its first teaser. With its initial introduction, the drama appeared to be more sci-fi and space-themed with minimal scope for romance. However, the first trailer stunned the fans as they rejoiced in cute, funny moments in the trailer.

Fans were amazed by the trailer as it depicted various romantic and hilarious moments from the actors. Commenting on the trailer, a fan expressed her excitement by saying:

When The Stars Gossip revolves around the show's main leads Gong Ryong (played by Lee Min-ho) and Eve Kim (Gong Hyo-jin). Gong Ryong is a gynaecologist who sets off to space as a space tourist while Eve Kim is a commander heading her first mission in space. Gong Ryong exhibits an unwelcoming presence for Eve Kim who wishes her first mission to go without errors.

Lee Min-ho's character is also engaged with the daughter of an influential family, 'a chaebol'. The show would also provide a mystical element as a leisure trip to space conceals Gong Ryong's secretive mission. Lee Minho has described Gong Ryong's core appeal to be purity. As he described the character, he said:

"He's an ordinary person living a typical life but driven by beliefs and an intense focus on life that other might not understand. What stood out to me is his determinatin to complete any given task."

Lee Min-ho also explained that the reason behind choosing When The Stars Gossip as his comeback project was the purity of the set and the "mysterious vastness of space" where the value of life is much more appreciated.

Other cast members include 100 Days My Prince's actress Han Ji-eun, Mr. Plankton's actor Oh Jung-se, and Kim Joo-hun, to mention a few.

The filming of the show began two years ago in April 2022 and in 2023, it concluded. Where The Stars Gossip is scheduled to be released on January 4, 2024, on tvN at 9:20 pm with two weekly episodes every Saturday and Sunday. The show has partnered with Netflix for streaming in selected regions.
