On Saturday, December 7, 2024, BTS' Jin appeared on Arashi member, Aiba Masaki's talk show, Since Those Days. This special episode, themed around "reunion and reflection," showcased the BTS idol in a deeply emotional and introspective light.

The BTS idol's dynamic with Aiba Masaki was another highlight of the show. The two entertainers, who had previously collaborated on Japan’s 24-Hour TV earlier this year, brought a mix of humor and warmth to the episode. Their playful banter and mutual admiration created a lighthearted atmosphere, balancing the more serious moments of the show.

One of the highlights of the episode was the BTS idol's participation in a segment where he wrote a heartfelt letter to his future self. As he read the letter aloud, he expressed gratitude and hoped for a healthy life for himself in the next 10 years. He wrote:

"To Seokjin in his 40s, how r u doing? I'm filming with Aiba right now. I'm sure you're going to turn off the touching words so I'll cut it short. Please stay healthy, see you later. From 2024, Jin."

During the reading, he became visibly emotional, which in turn moved the audience and his fans worldwide. His sincerity struck a chord with viewers and elicited an outpouring of support on social media. ARMY, BTS’ loyal fandom, shared clips of the emotional moment, which went viral online. One fan wrote:

"This is so wholesome I’m happy seokjin let his tears out and didn’t keep it in. He’s so strong"

The episode also included scenes of the BTS idol and Aiba exploring Seoul together. From sharing anecdotes to sampling local cuisine, the duo created memorable moments that offered fans a glimpse into Jin’s life outside of music.

Meanwhile, fans became emotional watching the BTS idol write a letter to his older self (aged 40). It was significant as the idol celebrated his 32nd birthday on December 4.

"Stay healthy my love and I’ll always too to support you as far as I can," one fan wrote.
"He deserves all the happiness," another fan emphasized.
