On January 23, 2025, in an interview with CULTURED, renowned star florist Shin Sun-ah recently lauded Jimin for his professionalism while filming the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band MV. According to her, despite the challenges posed by an uncomfortable set, the MUSE singer-songwriter remained focused and dedicated, ensuring the shoot proceeded seamlessly.
The music video, released alongside the single on June 28, 2024, featured the BTS idol as the lead vocalist of the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, performing against a woodland backdrop. The visual narrative showcased the idol dancing with groups of children and adults.
In the interview, Shin Sun-ah, known for her innovative floral designs and previous collaborations with various artists, was asked about one of her memorable behind-the-scenes moments while working with a K-pop idol. Although her resume boasts K-pop groups like BLACKPINK, BTS, Seventeen, and Red Velvet among others, Shin Sun-ah picked a moment from the filming of the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) MV.
"In the music video shoot for Jimin, from BTS, there were many extras of various ages—children, elders, grandpas, grandmas. Even as Jimin was busy singing and dancing and camera testing, it was so heartwarming to see that he constantly sparked conversation with the kids and adults and took care of them," she stated.
Shin Sun-ah added that despite having an uncomfortable floor with fake grass, the BTS singer-songwriter completed the filming without complaining about it even once.
"Also, during the shoot, we covered the entire set floor with small hills and fake grass so it was very uncomfortable and dangerous to wear dress shoes," she added.
"But he never once complained and even with unending takes, even as he slipped, I remember everyone feeling awestruck at the sight of him not once frowning and dancing extremely hard, and thinking he’s truly amazing. I kept thinking, It’s not everyone who can be a singer," she shared.
Upon learning of Shin Sun-ah's praise, ARMYs—the dedicated fanbase of BTS—took to social media to express their admiration for Jimin's commitment to his craft.
"That's the trait of the true superstar," a user wrote on X.
Messages celebrating his professionalism and dedication flooded various platforms.

BTS' Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band and its achievements
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, a dynamic collaboration between Jimin and South Korean rapper Loco, was released on June 28, 2024, as a pre-release single from Jimin's second studio album, MUSE.
The track seamlessly blends big band orchestral sounds with hip-hop elements, creating an upbeat and lively rhythm that reflects themes of love, fantasy, and the freedom of expressing profound emotions.
The song's title draws inspiration from the fictional "smeraldo" flower, a motif deeply tied to BTS' lore. Introduced in 2017, the smeraldo flower symbolizes "unspoken sincerity" and has appeared in various BTS narratives, adding layers of meaning to their artistic expressions.
In the United States, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band debuted at No. 88 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the BTS star's fifth solo entry on the chart and Loco's first. The song garnered 6.8 million streams and sold 11,000 downloads in its opening week. Additionally, it secured the number one spot on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
Internationally, the track accumulated 40.4 million streams and sold 34,000 downloads outside the U.S., earning the BTS idol his fourth top 10 entry on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 7. This tied him with BTS bandmate Taehyung for the second-most entries on the ranking among group members. For Loco, this marked his first appearance on the chart.
Additionally, it surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify and became the fastest song by a K-pop act to achieve this feat in the music streaming platform's history. It became the first song by a K-pop act and a K-pop solo act to receive its highest debut on Spotify's US Weekly Top Songs Chart in 2024.
In other news, the WHO singer-songwriter enlisted in the Republic of Korea military on December 12, 2023. He will be discharged in June 2025 after fulfilling 18 months of mandatory military service.
